18 - The Morning After

I woke up the morning after the party. Even though I'm awake, I didn't open my eyes just yet. I still want to sleep. But I felt weird all of a sudden. Like someone's watching me. I can't explain it, so I opened my eyes and blinked a few times trying to focus with my blurry vision.

As my vision became clear, I felt a bit shocked when I saw two pale blue eyes staring at me. I then realized it was Ella's beautiful eyes. She smiled at me warmly and I smiled back at her.

She is laying on her stomach facing me, and I am resting on my side facing her as well. My arm still under her neck and I can feel its warmth against my skin. We stared for what feels like hours but really it's only for a few minutes.

The moment's becoming awkward with every second that passes by. I feel like her pale blue eyes are melting me just by staring at my brown eyes.

Suddenly she extends her hand towards my face then she pushed strands of hair hanging on face then tugged it behind my ear. I felt nervous by the sudden contact of her hand on my cheek. Heat started creeping up on my face when she slowly leans in towards me. I remembered what happened in the cab last night. I think something pulled me to her like she's a magnet that made me lean in as well. Our face is so close I can feel her warm breathe and our nose almost touched. She closed her eyes and continued to lean in, and as I was about to close my eyes and lean in some more, a loud knock was heard on our door.

We were both startled which causes us to jump out of her bed blushing and our hearts pounding. We looked at each other, confusion clearly written on our faces. I was about to ask her what was that about when another impatient knock was heard with a voice calling my name. Aish!

I looked at Ella's clock on the night stand and groaned loudly. Aiish! I saw the time which is seven fcking thirty in the morning.

I looked back at Ella then shrugged at her, then annoyingly walked towards the door. I don't know if I'm annoyed that my supposedly first kiss with Ella was interrupted, or the fact that someone is trying to knock our door down at seven thirty in the morning!

I opened the door and raised my brow at the person who's standing behind.

"What Carly? It's seven fcking thirty in the morning." I hissed at her.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you Nikki." Oh yes you did disturbed us! We're gonna fcking kiss for the first time and you ruined the moment!

"What's this about?" I smiled irritatingly at her.

"Well, I texted you earlier and tried calling you but you're not answering, so I decided to just come here and talk to you." She paused to see if I'm listening. I nodded for her to continue.

"I just want to tell you that it's the first day of enrollment for the third term and that you should take the classes I just enrolled. I already texted you the schedule, so-" I cut her off.
