I still can't believe Ella punched Bryan so hard in the face, he can't even open his eyes to stay awake. Damn. Ella's really strong. Hmm. And she told him I'm hers. Hearing those words sent crawlers in my stomach, but I think in a goodway.
"So I'm yours huh?" I asked Ella teasingly while she takes a bite out of her BigMac.
She choke on her burger. She thump her chest then drinks her coke. She looked at me blushing. Embarrassed? I don't know.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Y-yeah I'm fine." She said smiling.
"So. I'm yours?" I chuckled.
"You're not gonna let this go are you?" She smirked. I just nodded.
"Okay. Niks, I'm sorry. I just said that so he will leave you alone. Okay? I'm sorry if you didn't like what I said to him, or around your schoolmates." She giggled but I frowned.
Am I disappointed again? That she only said that to keep Bryan away from me? Shit! Do I want to be Ella's? Oh no no no no. That can't be right.
"That's cool. No need to apologize Ella." I half smiled at her.
"Hey what's wrong?" She puts her hand on top of mine. "Did I say something wrong?"
"Uh.. No. Nothing's wrong. I guess I just got exhausted of what happened earlier." I said defensively.
"Oh. You want to go back to the dorm instead? You still have classes later right?" She asked sounding concerned.
"Yeah I have. Hmm. I think I'll just go back to the dorm. I'll ditch the rest of the day." I said as I finish my burger and drinks.
---------
It's been four days since the incident outside school, and four days that I'm trying to avoid Ella. I leave earlier than her then go back to the dorm later when I think she's asleep. I figured that if I try to avoid her, what I'm feeling might go away. I think she's starting to notice because she's texting me what's wrong and what's going on with me. I just replied that I'm busy at school, well, it's partially true.
The bell rang and it's lunch time again, but I'm not in the mood to eat. It's also been four days that I can't eat normally. I would skip meals. And I'll just drink water if needed. I've been ditching Carly and Victoria this past few days, so basically I'm hanging out with Ar Kin, he's trying his best to cheer me up which is working, just a little. We ditched some of our classes, well minor classes, then we chill in The Walls or somewhere.
This time, I decided that I'll just go to the library and read. Just when I started walking towards the library, I received a text, from Ella.
Elle: Hey gorgeous. Got tym? Nid u wit sumthin 4 awyl. It's mportant. :)
I stared at my phone for a few seconds deciding what to reply. Or if I will even reply.
I groaned loudly. I can't really avoid her forever can I? I took a deep breathe then texted her back.
Me: K. Sure. Wer u at?
Elle: Outsyd ur school. ;)
Me: K, b der in a few.
After a few minutes, I saw Ella standing outside the school, looking gorgeous as ever. Guys are checking her out. Even the guards, oh my god! I suddenly felt annoyed by the way they are checking her out. I quickly walked towards her. When she saw me she smiled widely.
I missed that smile.
"Hey!" She hugged me.
"Hey yourself." I smiled then hugged her back, breathing in her scent. God I missed her so much.
"I've missed you!" She said softly while we are still hugging.
"I...I miss you too Ella." I whispered.
She pulled away and smiled a sad smile. She knows something's wrong.
"Er...You needed something?" I said because it's getting awkward.
"Let's grab lunch first." She held my hand then pulled me beside her. We walked towards McDonalds.
---------
"You always eat BigMac but you don't gain weight. I don't get it." I asked her while she takes a bite of her BigMac.
"Me neither." She shrugged. "Why aren't you eating?" She asked pointing at my untouched burger.
"I-I'm not really hungry." I said looking around, avoiding her gaze.
"Eat." She said firmly. More of ordered me.
"I said I'm not hungry Ella." I sighed, still avoiding her gaze.
"Fine. Look me in the eye then tell me you're not hungry." She challenged me placing her BigMac on the table, then she crossed her arms on her chest then slouched back at her chair looking at me intently.
I sighed. She knows me too well. "Fine! I'll eat." I hissed unwrapping my burger then I took a bite.
"You can't lie to me Niks." She smirked at me. She went back on eating her BigMac without breaking her gaze on me.
"So what do you need me for?" I asked, not sounding annoyed.
"Uhm. Well..." She seem to think of the right words. Okay, what is she gonna say now? I raised a brow at her. She glanced at me and I nodded telling her to continue
"Okay. Uhm. I need you...to be my bestfriend again." She said. What is she talking about?
I think she noticed I'm confused. She then continued talking.
"Well, you've been distant this past few days. I don't know why. I can feel something's wrong but you won't open up to me. You're my bestfriend and I don't know what's going in your mind." I nodded for her to continue.
"And I have this problem, and I need your help. I need you to be my friend again. Not a stranger living in a room with me." She slouched back to her seat.
I sighed. "Sorry about that." She shrugged. "What's this problem you're telling me?" I asked curiously. Of course I'm still her friend, and it's stupid of me to distant myself from her, and now knowing she's going through something is making me feel guilty.
"Well," she blushed. Fck? Is she going to confess her feelings to me? But she said she needed me to be her 'bestfriend'. I suddenly became nervous.
"Well?" I took a bite on my burger. I played it cool. Although inside I'm so fcking nervous.
"Well, there's this guy in school who asked me out. I think I'm going out with him."
