     Intolerable?

     Insufferable?

     Agonizingly annoying?

I had no words to describe him, but the further we walked, the more he talked, and the easier it was for me to justify shooting him.

I tried my hardest not to pay attention, but between the comments about my poor upbringing and how my childhood must have been traumatizing, it was hard not to.

Here I was, about to shoot a man for reasons unknown to him. He thought I was a carjacker, an everyday psychopath who must have just snapped, and of course, when someone isn't all there in the head, everyone blames the parents. I couldn't exactly say he was wrong, though. My childhood was the exact reason I am who I am today, but it had nothing to do with how my parents raised me because they never got a chance to.

"So, are we going to talk, or are you just gonna shoot me?"

I stared at the back of his head and imagined what his beautiful face would look like with an exit hole. It was a shame, to be honest. If he hadn't been trying to track me down, I probably could have got a good night out of him.

     "Who are you?"

He turned around slowly, and I swallowed hard. The only time I've ever seen a look like that was when I was looking at myself in the mirror.

     Hatred.

     Disgust.

"Does it matter? You look like the kind crazy that would forget in five minutes anyway." He spat at me, looking me up and down like I was the tiniest speck of dirt on the bottom of his leather boots.

I couldn't help but chuckle. Yeah, I probably looked a little crazy and was acting slightly more so than usual, but I hadn't slept more than three hours in the last two days, and makeup only covered so much.

"I'm not going to ask you again. Who are you, and why the hell are you looking for me?"

His green eyes widened, and a look of confusion fell over his face as I impatiently waited for an answer. I honestly didn't care whether he told me who he was or not. I just wanted to know what I did to piss him off or who hired him to hunt me down.

"You?" He rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. "You're Andi King?"

I nodded, gawking at him as I took in his surprised expression. He ran his long, beaten fingers over his stubbly face, and a slew of chuckles vibrated his body.

"You've gotta be kidding me." He dropped his arms to his sides, no longer threatened by my upper hand, and started pacing, mumbling under his breath.
