"All ya got to do is die a little,
die a little to survive."

I sat in the passenger seat of the Impala, staring down at the blade in my hand as Dean waited in silence for the explanation I knew he deserved. I didn't know what I could tell him, though. Nothing I could say would make what we were about to go through any easier.

A heaviness settled in my chest as I stared up at the warehouse. Whatever was about to happen was going to change everything. I already knew Meg was going to drag me through the dirt in front of them. She was one of Azazel's favorites - his daughter, and there was no doubt that she knew every little thing I tried to hide from the boys. Including what I was almost willing to do to keep Dean safe.

"I know I haven't given you many reasons to trust me, but I need you to trust me now."

He hesitated and took a deep breath, not answering until his tired eyes met mine. "Okay."

"And I need you to promise me something," I said to him. His jaw twitched. I could tell he was doing everything he could to keep himself from barging into the warehouse Meg had told us to meet her at, but I could also tell that I was the last person he wanted to be on a rescue mission with. Especially since it was my fault Sam was in this position. "Meg isn't just some demon that your brother randomly ran into on the side of the road."

"I got that part," he grumbled.

"Look, Meg and I go back a long time. We have history." My lips pinched as I tried to avoid the memories trying to surface. "And I will tell you everything and anything you want to know when this is over, but Dean I need you to promise me, that no matter what she says, no matter what she does, you remember we're on the same side." My words came out as a plea, but he still didn't look at me. "That we want the same thing."

Dean dropped his head with a heavy sigh. "What the hell did you get my brother into, Andi?"

"Sam's not the one you have to worry about."

His gaze snapped up to me. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"It means I know," I admitted. "I know about his visions. About the other kids like him." His eyes narrowed and I half expected him to point his gun in my face. "Like I said, Dean, I will tell you everything after, but you have to believe me when I tell you that she won't hurt your brother. She wants you."

     "Why?"

My words caught in my throat. "You know why." He didn't say anything, but he didn't look away either. "She wants to hurt me, and the only way anybody can do that is to hurt you."

"Andi," Dean started, but I cut him off.

"Don't," I told him. "You don't have to say anything."
