Andi King didn't know how to play nice, because quite frankly, she didn't like people. She was a loner and that was how she liked it. Especially with a sadistic demon dead set on destroying her and anyone she got close to.
But that all changes when...

The water was brown, and at this point, I wasn't sure if I was getting clean or risking a chance of infection, but I didn't have the energy to tell Dean to stop. His hands on my body felt too safe, so I just laid there on the ratty old bed, covered in his worn leather jacket with my head in his lap as he wiped away the blood and dirt from my wounds.
Neither of us spoke, despite his declaration in the backseat of his Impala. It took everything in him to wake me up when we pulled up to the abandoned cabin, and though I was barely conscious, the look in his eyes was enough to pull me back to consciousness and keep me here.
I needed a hospital, as did John, but we couldn't risk being followed. They would be after us and knowing the state John and I were in, a hospital would be the first place they looked. So we kept driving until I couldn't take it anymore, and Sam found an old hunting cabin to take refuge in while Sam and Dean tended to the two of us.
I was grateful. Beyond that, and then some. But I knew I didn't deserve it. Any of it.
I didn't deserve the way he looked at me. The way he touched me. The way he cared for me. The way he felt about me. This was my fault. His father was severely injured. His brother was nearly killed, and Dean was forced to use one of the few bullets we had to save his life because he was making sure I was okay instead of helping Sammie.
My fingers trembled as a bolt of pain shot up my thigh and into my hip. I tried my best to keep still through the ache, but there was no hiding it from Dean. He knew. No matter how hard I tried to hide the pain, mentally and physically he knew.
His hand wrapped gently around mine. "You're freezing," he said, cupping my fingers and bringing them to his lips. He blew warm air across my knuckles and kissed them gently.
"Considering the amount of blood I lost, I'd say that's pretty normal."
Dean's brows furrowed. "We're gonna get you to a hospital."
It physically pained me to try and give him even the slightest smile. My chin hurt. My mouth hurt. My lips and teeth. I was pretty sure Meg had knocked out at least two molars, and I wouldn't be surprised if an X-ray showed some sort of jaw fracture. All I could do was sip back the whiskey and water he offered me and grit through the waves of pain that pulsed through me, and every so often when he asked, let him know that I was still awake... just resting my eyes.
The door creaked open slowly, and Sam pushed through. His shoulders sagged, and his tall stature seemed small, even in the tiny room. He leaned back against the wall and dropped his head back as he tried to take a deep breath.
