"Are you getting good shots," I asked Josh. I made my way up to him while the boys went back to the changing room to make a wardrobe change.

"Yeah, look at this shot! I think it's one my favorites," Josh mumbled as he tilted his camera screen toward me. "It's seriously, probably, one of my best shots ever."

It was a great photo.

Chandler was leaning on Danny's shoulder-- because he's so much taller-- with a large smile on his face... And Danny... I felt a tingling in my legs as I looked at him. He had a casual smirk on his face, and his arms were crossed over his chest, causing his biceps be hugged even tighter by the fabric of his gray suit jacket.

I swear I nearly drooled while studying his stubble covered jaw line. The way his eyes had a beautiful gleam in them nearly made my legs give out to me. I swayed and sucked in a breath-- Fuck, he's beautiful.

"That's a great shot, Josh. If none of them work out in their uniform... I think that is the one for the cover," I commented with a smile.

"That's exactly what I was thinking," Josh replied with a smile. "God, I love my job! I swear I amaze myself some days."

The boys came back around the corner, this time in their uniforms... Okay... Cue the heart attack. Danny looked even more handsome, if that was even possible. He looks good in red, white, and blue... and... His pants were... Oh god... His arms... How I didn't faint then and there, I didn't know.

Okay, yeah, time to sit down. I moved over to my seat and sat down with my legs crossed. As I sat there, I watched Josh adjust them the way he wanted them. Of course Danny was on the right side, with his back partially toward me-- displaying his nice ass, where his uniform hugged his body tighter than can. I couldn't catch a break today. As I sat there, my phone vibrated in my pocket, so I pulled it out... Of course, Julian. I pulled my attention away from the photoshoot and to my phone.

So I saw Danny's girl today... With another guy. How am I supposed to tell him? I even got a photo.

The picture of the girl holding hands with a man was attached to the text.

My eyes went wide. I looked up at the two men posing, and then quickly typed back to my phone.

Jess 2:04

Shit. I don't know. Maybe you should do dinner with him? Or just flat out call him and be like 'yo, something is up'.

I looked back up toward Danny who was now holding a football... my heart began to race again... his veins were popping out of his arms... and... his tanned skin was taut over his arms, showing off each individual muscle that wasn't covered with clothing. I sucked in a breath, yeah... I needed to get out of the room.

I stood up and spoke up. "I'll be right back, Josh, I need to make a phone call," I mumbled and began to walk out of the room. For some reason, I could feel his eyes on my back. I pushed out of the room and leaned against the wall outside.

I brought my right hand up and placed my hand over my eyes, then slowly slid down the wall until I was on my ass. How could he have this affect on me? I had no clue how long I sat there, with my head in my hands, but I could hear the door open.

"Jess, you okay," Josh's voice asked, making me move my hands away from my face and look up at him.

My eyes were wide, and my eyebrows were raised. "Y-Yeah. I'm fine. Just really stressed, I guess. I'll be back in there in a minute," I mumbled and ran a hand down my face.

"Okay... We're going to wrap up in a few, just so you know," Josh responded with a small nod and sad smile.

I nodded. When he left, I took another second before getting myself up. When I walked back in the room, Danny and Chandler were standing there walking to Josh with smiles on their faces. Danny was the only one to notice me coming in, he was looking at me with that curious look again-- as if he was trying to figure me out.

I approached the group and put on a fake smile. "Thank you for coming out today, guys," I thanked as I crossed my arms over my chest. "We'll be sending over a few copies of the magazine over to the Patriots front office for you to pick up. Thank you again, and it was great meeting you."

"You too," Chandler mumbled. I shook Chandler's hand first, then Danny's with the same fake smile on my face. Danny almost didn't let go of my hand, but he got the idea when I began to pull away so quickly.

"Jess," Danny began, but I was already on my way out of the room. I needed to get the fuck out.

When I got back to my office, I closed my door and put my head in my hands. "Fuck," I told myself, "I handled that like shit. I'm a terrible person. Fuck."

I had to put it aside though. I had to work. I pulled my hands away from my face and opened my emails. Time to proofread about twenty articles.

By the time I was done with my proofreading, it was nearly 6:30, and I was beginning to fall asleep at my desk.

Before I could completely fall asleep, I pushed myself away from my desk and stood up. Once I had my coat on I made my way out of my office and locked it behind me. On my way out, I ran into my boss.

"Jess, you're still here," Jim asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Yeah, I was proofreading articles... I still have about 10 more to go through though, so I'll be back early tomorrow," I informed and then let out a sigh.

"No need to worry, Jess, you got here at 7, right," he asked as he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

I nodded. "Yeah, then I had that photoshoot for the today, too," I told him with a small shrug.

"Work from home tomorrow. You just put in an 11 hour shift. I'll see you Wednesday... Thank you for all your hard work," Jim thanked with a nod.

I sucked in a breath and raised my eyebrows. "Thank you so much, Jim. I'll see you on Wednesday. Have a great night," I thanked and made my way to the elevator.

When I made it to my apartment building, I made my way up the stairs, and instantly went into my apartment. I tore my coat off and draped it over the back of my char, then moved over to the couch where I collapsed on the couch. "Ugh."

I was disappointed in myself. I walked out today... I was unprofessional. I couldn't help but feel like no matter what, there'd be too much to salvage between Danny and I after the way I treated him.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by hearing a knocking out in the hall, at another door. Being the nosey person I was, I hopped up and looked through the peephole.

It was Julian knocking at Danny's door. 'Oh god, Jules, good luck' was all I could think as I saw Danny's door begin to open. I moved away before I could see the handsome man.
