"I seriously think that you two would make a great couple," Julian commented once we were sitting back at the table and eating our, now cold, lunch.

I shook my head. "I-I'd rather just... Not do anything," I replied with an eyeroll. "I-I... I'm sorry... I just don't want to get hurt like I have in the past."

Julian sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Come on! Okay... How about... How about... You come to the dinner with me, on Friday! I know you're really busy with work... But you need to take a break every once in a while... And you can see the way he looks at you! Plus... If I'm right about him liking you, which I am, he'll be jealous as hell," Julian commented as he raised both his eyebrows.

I put my food down and leaned back with my arms crossed. "Why do you want me to go with you so bad," I questioned and gave him an unamused look.

"I-I... I just really don't want to go alone! Danny was supposed to go with me! And then... That girl... Amanda came along," Julian confessed. "I-I... Normally we can just hang out whenever... And now... He's always spending time with her... I swear I'm starting to lose my best friend."

I sighed. "What time is it? And Where," I asked after a minute. "Because... I really am busy with work. It's kinda crazy. Hopefully Friday will be my last day of running around like a crazy woman."

Julian sighed and thought for a second. "It starts at seven... and I can pick you up. It's kinda formal... like dress pants, and dress shirts... and dresses and shit. But... Will you please come with me? I-I... If you come with me I swear I will never push anything about Danny on you ever again," he wagered. "Please, Jess!"

I sucked in a breath. "Fine... But... I've nothing to wear. The only dress I have is like a sun dress... And it definitely isn't formal," I complained.

"Fine... I'll chill here until you finish your work and then I'll take you out to get a dress," Julian replied. His tone was a happy tone.

I sighed. "Fine, but, Jules, for the love of god... Please leave me alone so I can actually work on my stuff for work. I've about three more articles to read and edit," I told him and pushed my seat back. I grabbed my garbage, and then his and threw it all out.

"My TV is over there," I pointed to the TV that we've watched so many sporting events on. "Now, I'm going to work."

I moved back over to my kitchen island and opened my laptop. Before continued reading the Patriot's article, I checked my email to see that Josh sent me the photos. I didn't even open them, I just saved them to my computer, and then opened my texts on my computer, where I sent them to Danny, without saying anything.

I closed my texts as Julian turned on the TV, then zoned out for the next two hours-- Time to get shit done.

"Finally," I exclaimed and slammed my laptop shut. I leaned back in my chair and cracked my back. "Oh man. Thank the lord."

I stood up and stretched before I headed over to the couch, where Julian was leaning back with his feet kicked up on my coffee table. He was oddly quiet for the entire time I was working. As I rounded the couch I put my hand over my mouth and had to stop myself from laughing.

He was passed out, with his head tilted to the side and drool was trailing out of his mouth and onto the balled up blanket he was hugging. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and moved in closer to him, then snapped a photo.

"Uh, Jules," I mumbled as I slipped my phone back in my pocket. He didn't budge. "Julian!" His blue eyes snapped open and then went wide.

"What," he quickly sat up and shook his head. He quickly noticed the drool and wiped it away with his hoodie sleeve, then looked down at the drool covered blanket. "Oh god! I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to!"
