When I woke up on Tuesday, I had a few texts... Two from Julian... And one from Danny. I rolled my eyes and opened Julian's first.

Julian 10:43

He was in denial about it... So... Yeah...

Julian 10:50

Also, why did Danny say you were acting weird at work today? If I had known we'd be dealing with you I would've come. I had to do a shoot with the Pats at Gillette... It was soooo boring.

I rolled my eyes and typed back a 'So they're still together? He's gonna get hurt'. I then turned my attention to the other text; the one from Danny.

Danny 11:14

Can you send some pictures from today?

I just rolled my eyes and put my phone down, then stared at the ceiling. "Why? Couldn't he just fucking email Josh? Josh gave them both his business card."

I sighed and opened my texts with Josh. 'Hey Josh, Amendola wants some photos from yesterday... Can you please send me some?"

Within seconds he responded.

Josh 8:03

I'm editing them as we speak... And you know Amendola? I'll have some of the pictures to you in like an hour.

Jess 8:04

Thank you. And I'd rather not.

I rolled out of bed, stuffed my phone in my pocket, then shuffled into my kitchen, where I turned my coffee maker on and got the coffee going. My phone began to vibrate in my pocket, I shook my head and ignored is as I turned around and grabbed a muffin off the counter. When the coffee was ready, I poured myself a cup and sat down at my kitchen island where my laptop was already sitting.

I logged in and went straight to my work email. Surprisingly, I only had about 20 emails... Most of which were proofreading, still. I began to nibble on my muffin as my phone began to vibrate again.

"Fuck my life," I mumbled and pulled it out of my pocket. Of course-- Julian. Why was he calling me so early in the morning.

"Ugh! Why are you calling me so early in the morning," I grumbled into my phone as I opened an email.

"Well good morning to you, too Jess," Julian's friendly voice was super sarcastic. "I called because I wanted to know why you didn't reply to my second text." God, he can be annoying sometimes.

"I've been really busy," I deflected. "I have quite a few articles to get through today.. I'm super stressed... So if you could just get to your point... Then I could get back to work."

"Okay," Julian said. I could picture him shrugging on the other end of the line. "Then I'll swing by your work at noon and pick you up for lunch. If you're so stressed, then you need a break."

I let out a huff. "Uh, no," I mumbled as I moved to open up a tab on twitter, "You can't do that, Jules."

"Why is that? I think you deserve a break from work every once in a while! Come on! You can even pick where we go! It doesn't have to be burgers, this time," Julian complained.

"I mean you can't pick me up at work, Jules. I'm working from home today because I worked an eleven hour shift yesterday," I responded. "I'm whipped, Jules. I just wanna relax."

"Fine," Julian mumbled, he rolled his eyes at me-- I could tell. "Then what do you want me to bring to your place? You can pick anything."

"Nothing. I just need to work today," I groaned. I leaned back in my chair and stared at the ceiling as I kept my phone to my ear.

"Fine! Then I won't treat you to lunch, like a good friend would," Julian mumbled. "Since you're way too busy to eat like normal people."

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Jules... I've gotta go... I-I'll see you soon."

"Yeah, Jess, take care... And don't push yourself too far," Julian replied before the line went dead.

I put my phone down and let out a huff. "Fuck." I tore my attention away from myself and threw all of my attention into the work I had in front of me.

My eighth article was the Patriots article... Of course I had to read this one...

'This season, the New England Patriots look like they have a line up that is promising. They've added some new faces, like wide receiver Danny Amendola, as well as kept some familiar ones, like defensive end Chandler Jones.

We were lucky enough to sit down with both of them and talk about what the team has been doing to prepare for this season. The Patriots' record in the 2012 season was 12-4, leaving them at the top of the AFC, this season, they're looking to improve further.

We asked Danny Amendola, one of the teams newest faces, what it meant to him to play for the Patrio-'

I was shook out of my concentration by a knocking at my door. "Are you fucking kidding me," I grumbled as I jumped down from my chair and made my way over to my door. I got on my tiptoes and looked through the peephole. "What the fuck."

I swung the door open to see Julian standing there with two plastic bags in his hands. "Hey Jess! I figured since you wouldn't let me take you out... That I'd just bring a meal to you," Julian greeted with a bright smile on his face and happy blue eyes.

I tilted my head and shot him an unamused look. "Are you kidding me? I told you I was really busy today... I have so much work to do," I complained and crossed my arms. "And I haven't even gotten out of my pajamas yet." I looked down at my black sweats and oversized red shirt.

Julian scrunched his eyebrows together. "Who cares! You need to eat! Just let me in, Jess," Julian coaxed. He tilted his head and looked at me with both eyebrows raised.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, then moved away from the door so he could come in. "What'd you bring," I asked as I closed the door behind him and followed him to the kitchen.

Julian was too busy snooping at my laptop to answer me. I lunged forward and slammed it shut. "Hey! I was reading that," Julian exclaimed as he looked at me with his wide blue eyes.

I shook my head. "Not until it's published! Now, what'd you bring for lunch," I asked and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Your favorite! Chinese! It isn't in my diet plan... But I could use a cheat day," Julian mumbled and moved over to the kitchen table to take the stuff out of the bags. "And I got you your Chicken and Broccoli!"

Hope Y'all enjoyed!
