"Thank you for not inviting Danny, Jules," I mumbled as the two of us walked down the street, and to our normal bar. The sun was beginning to set and the wind was beginning to pick up.

"Yeah, Yeah. I figured it's the least I could do. You deserve a night out... So I wanted to make sure you'd still come out," he replied as he walked up the steps and held the door open for me. "Now get inside before you freeze your ass off, ya coatless stubborn asshole."

"Thank you, also shut up. And yeah, I could really use a drink after this week. I'm still like really stressed-- it's all going to be over soon... But I'm still stressed," I mumbled as we moved over to our normal spots, Julian on my right, and Danny's normal spot on my left, empty.

"I've an idea," Julian began as he pulled out a fifty and put it down on the bar. He had one eyebrow quirked as he looked at me with his shiny blue eyes. I didn't know how to feel about the look he was giving me-- it meant he was up to no good.

"And what's that idea of yours Jules," I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows together and looked him in the eye.

"If you really wanna get drunk, let's start out with a shot! You can choose anything you want! And it better be something good," Julian quickly added as he waved the bartender over.

"Two shots of... fireball, please," I mumbled and shot Julian a smirk. I knew he hated fireball, so I had to do it.

He rolled his eyes as the shot glasses were taken out. The bartender took the money and slid the shots toward us. I picked mine up as Jules picked his up, and we clinked our glasses together, then downed them.

"Woo!" Julian called out as he slammed the shot glass back down on the bar. "That's fucking crazy, Jess! Why do you like those so much?"

I smiled mischievously back at him. "Because they burn, and they're absolutely great! And, I always feel like I get drunk faster off of those," I mumbled as the bartender put down my normal Korbel and Coke in front of me.

We sat there and bullshited as we downed multiple drinks. People came and went throughout the night, many of which Julian bought shots for. Around nine, he had his phone out and was texting.

"Jules, who the hell are you texting," I slurred and looked over at him with a dazed look. "Ugh! I need another drink!"

"Danny boy. He wants to know where I am right now! Please let him come," Julian replied, he was much more sober than I was. "He deserves a night out too! His best friend has been ignoring him... And he just broke with some slut!"

I leaned forward and rested my elbow on the bar as I had my palm flat on my cheek. "Jules," I mumbled and blinked slowly. His big ol' blue eyes were giving me the puppy dog look. I rolled my eyes. "I guess. But... I need another drink."

"I'll buy another round when he gets here. It'll only be a few minutes. He said he was just out grabbing dinner or something," Julian replied and slid his phone into his pocket. "This is gonna be a good time, Jess... Also... I think this is the most drunk I've ever seen you!"

"Yeah. I haven't," I cut myself off with a hiccup. "I haven't' been this drunk since college."

Julian began laughing. "Oh my god! You're so drunk! How are you not going to be hungover tomorrow," he asked through laughter as he held his stomach and threw his head back.

"If I am, so what," I asked and pushed myself off the bar so I was leaning back in my chair. "I'll take a much needed weekend off!"

"You deserve it," Julian mumbled and then turned his attention to the bar door.

Danny was walking through. And damn, he was looking dapper. He was wearing tight dark jeans, and a white v-neck shirt. His skin looked absolutely beautiful in the light of the bar and his face, god— how could one man be so attractive?

He smiled over at us and made his way to his normal spot next to us. "Hi Jules," he greeted first as he leaned behind me and shook Julian's hand, then looks at me with a small nod. "Jess."

"H-Hi Dola," I mumbled and blinked slowly. It was beginning to feel like it was really hot in there.

Within seconds, Julian had the bartender serve us our drinks. We all clinked our drinks together, and then took a sips of them. "To Jess on her new journey!"

Dola stopped chugging his drink to look at us with furrowed eyebrows. God, he's fucking hot. I sucked in a breath and quickly looked away from him. "What journey?"

"She got a new job of course! With the Bruins," Julian exclaimed happily and patted my back.

Danny's brown eyes went wide, and a smile quickly found its way into his face. "What!? Jess! That's great! Congrats! That's so exciting," Danny said and went for a high five.

I high fived him and smiled. "Thanks, Danny!" Okay, yeah, maybe tonight was going to be okay.

A few hours later, I was really feeling it, but decided to change to switch over to water. I jumped down from my stool so I was standing and leaning against the bar. The three of us didn't really speak, but somehow I built up the courage to talk to Danny.

I turned to him and sucked in a long breath. "Danny, I have a question," I said. He looked at me with a drunk daze.

"What is that, Jess," he asked and squinted at me. I studied him-- god his eyes are so beautiful. He's fucking perfect. His sharp jawline made me weak at the knees as I looked up at him.

"I was wondering w-," I began, but a hand-- Julian's hand-- was placed on my back, and I was shoved toward Danny. I put both of my hands up and fell into him. He wrapped his arms around my back and held me there as I kept my hands on his chest and looked up into his chocolatey brown eyes.

He kept his arms around me and looked down at me with his eyebrows raised. "What is your question," he asked, then sucked in a breath and pulled me closer to him.

I swore I lost my breath. I just looked up into those brown eyes and lost myself. "Danny," I mumbled. I couldn't move. I was too mesmerized. My hands involuntarily moved up so they were around the back of his neck. "I-I..." Our faces were getting closer and closer. I could feel his breath on my face. Oh god. Fuck. No- Fuck.

It was then that I noticed the throbbing between my legs. I squeezed my legs together as his lips brushed against mine. My eyes fell closed and I finally closed the gap between us.

Our lips moved together as he deepened the kiss. Soon, we both pulled away to catch our breaths. I was looking into his beautiful eyes again. "Danny, I-I... that was perfect... but... we're drunk," I mumbled, sadly.

"Being drunk gives you the courage to do what you'd never do sober," he said and smashed our lips together. He pulled away with a big smile on his face. "I've been wanting to do that forever, now."
