You're Only Helping

Logan's POV
After finishing up my vlog at a park that I went to with Brendan, I made my way home and what I got surprised with at my own house was not pretty.

As I open the front door, I could hear more than one person talking in the living room. First, it was Sophia's voice, then it was Chloe's, and then a guy's voice. Curiosity stuck and I rushed over to where there was conversation was taking place.

"He must be very lucky to be having a baby with you." I hear a voice say and I turn on a corner, seeing a guy sitting on one of my couches next to Chloe.

We make eye connection and I could already tell he was bad news.

"Hey, Logan. This is Justin." Sophia says as she gets up and takes my hand so that I could sit next to her. I force a smile and sit next to Sophia, wrapping my arm around her waist.

"How's it goin." I simply said as Justin gave me a small smile with a nod.

"So, Logan. Me and Justin were wondering if you two could make a song together, make some music." Chloe spoke up and my attention is now on her.

Make music with him?

"Well, I want to get to know the person I am working with a little more before I get into the studio with them." I say and then look at the guy with dirty blonde hair, "That is just how I work."

"Oh, yeah. I respect that, man. I would like to get to know you better as well-"

"But maybe you should know that he has dated your baby mama." Chloe says and my head shoots to Sophia who had grown small.

"What?"

I didn't want to work with someone who had once been with my girl before. Not only was that weird, but it was risky and I was in no mood to take chances with my relationship.

"Chloe-" Justin starts and then sighs. The guy looks over at me with guilt in his eyes. "Look, Logan. I am not here to mess around with what is not mine, as much as you may find that hard to believe. Yes, me and Sophia had something in the past, but I promise that it is nothing no more. I want to work with you on something that I know both you and me are good at, but I don't want my past getting in the way of anything." Justin explains.

I though for a long hard moment. I didn't want to seem so strict and angry about this situation, but I had already been through a lot with Sophia and things were just starting to get better. I didn't want anything to come in between us again. Though. life being life, that is hard to stop sometimes.

"I understand completely. I just want peace and respect between all of this, mostly now that Sophia is pregnant. I can't have problems with you, is what I am saying. The past is the past, and that is fine. Though, as long as you don't get involved with what is my present," I wrap my arm around Sophia and bring her into a small hug, I could almost feel her eye roll, "we good, bro."

Me and Justin made an agreement and soon we both get up to go talk to my manager that goes by the name Jeff. Chloe and Sophia were left to talk alone in the living room.

Sophia's POV
"So, how does it feel?" Chloe asked randomly as I start to get up from my uncomfortable position on the couch.

"What do you mean?" I asked and Chloe chuckled like if I was stupid to not know what she was talking about.

"Seeing Justin again, talking with him, being with him?" 

"He's just my ex, Chloe." I say and rush over to the kitchen, not wanting to go any further into the conversation.

"Are you shitting me?" Chloe says following me. " You can't tell me there was not energy between you two."

"He's my past." I say and she stops following me when I meet eyes with her. "Justin is Justin and it's cool if he wants to work with Logan. That's amazing, actually. I just hope that this is not some trap you are placing on me and Logan because I swear-"

Chloe lifts up her finger shushing me. My lips seal and she smiles sweetly, almost fake.

"You need to gain trust in me sooner or later, Soph. I just met Justin and he is really good with his music. That's why I brought him over to Logan. This is no cruel plan to destroy the amazing relationship you and Logey have." 

For some reason, when she called Logan the nickname I only call him, other than his fans, it made my blood boil with jealousy. I didn't want anyone calling him that the way she is. I still didn't feel like trusting the brunette either. 

Then, the 2 familiar guys walked in the kitchen with a satisfied smile on the lips.

"Chloe, I think I got a deal. So, we should leave Sophie and Logan to enjoy the rest of their day together." Justin starts to say as he looks at Chloe. His eyes then meet mine and I feel something tickling in my stomach. " And Sophia, we should see eachother soon, I want to catch up." He says and I nod in agreement. 

Justin and I exchange phone numbers and right after, Chloe and Justin leave the house. Logan almost seems relieved as the front door closes. I chuckle to myself.

"Don't worry, you will always be my number one." I say and kiss his cheek that was turning a shade of red from his blushing.

Chloe's POV
"She is so beautiful! God, Logan is a lucky guy. I wish I was him." Justin says as we walk next door to my home. I stop both of us and look at the tattooed guy who looks surprised by my actions.

"You need to calm down, Justin. This is between me and Jason. You are only helping."
