Ruth's Pov

The room was dark like always. I knew I shouldn't have gone. He doesn't like it when I interact with anyone.

"So did you enjoy yourself?" He asked. His voice sounding a little interested but also too deep and cold to sound caring.

"Y-yes.. It was lovely.." I smiled

"He seems nice.. It'd be so sad-"

"NO!!! Stop!!! Don't you dare touch him!!" I jumped up trying to find him.

"Well aren't we a little defensive.." He teased

"No.. Please.. You promised you wouldn't hurt any of them.." I fell to my knees tired.

"Listen to me, you're mine. I'll let him live.. But he better not push my buttons because I won't hesitate in killing him." He threatened

"Okay.. Just.. Please.. Don't hurt him.. " I said sighing

"Mhmm.. Be careful.. I get jealous easily. Even your little friend, Anees, gets on my nerves.." He said

"No.. Don't hurt Anees.. He is only my friend and you know it.. " I begged

"I'll kill them all if you ever disobey me." He said coldly

"I know.. That's why I'm still here.." I said as I felt his hand touch my shoulder lightly

He grabbed my hand and took it In his larger one. I got up and smiled at him. It looks like a perfect scene from a movie. The one where he grabs her hand in his and they just stare into each other's eyes.

"You're so beautiful." He said softly

"Thank you.." I looked down.

"I never want to hurt you.." He smiled at me.

"I know.. " I said quietly

"I'll leave you be now.. Don't do anything stupid.." He smiled.

"I won't.." I smiled back

"Goodbye.."

Every time he said it I always hoped that it would be forever. But it wasn't. He would always keep coming back. But it wasn't love. Or maybe it was, mixed with fear. Yeah, I taught myself to believe that this was the best kind of love.

"L-Levi.." I stuttered out quietly.

He looked back and smiled. He reached for my hand once more and brought me close. I fell into his embrace and smelled his perfect cologne. It wasn't too strong, just the way I liked it.

"You're a caged bird my little butterfly.." He whispered.

He always told me that. I am a caged bird. His bird. He said that he'll let my fly away and see the world one day. But that day has yet to come.

I woke up with a small headache. My door soon flashed opened and I saw my brother come in.

"Mom and dad are gonna come back soon. I think around 12:30 so just be ready.." He said

"Okay." I yawned

"Who was it?" He asked

"What?"

"I heard voices last night."

"Umm.. Idk probably my TV.." I lied

"Hmm.. Get dressed and cook me something." He said getting up.

"Fine!"

Sunday. Beautiful. My parents are coming back today and this house won't be so lonely anymore. I'm supposed to go meet up with Elani today. We're going to the mall and I can't wait to buy myself some nice spring clothing because the weather is slowly changing.

Jamal's Pov

"I can always make you feel good.." She whispered in my ear.

"Stop it.. I said I don't want you anymore.." I tried pushing her away

"Don't deny me baby." She bit my earlobe seductively.

She kissed down my jawline. Her fingers running down my shirt.

"Jamal-" someone stopped their tracks from the door.

I turned my head and saw Anees standing there. "Anees no-"

"Sorry I interrupted.." He walked out.
