Ruth's Pov

Maybe I spoke too much. Maybe he liked seeing me bleed. I felt the knife twist inside of me. His smile was very scary. I felt cold chills run down my spine. I fell, but he held me in his arms.

"I never thought it would end like this.." He whispered

"Me.. Neither.." I managed to say

He laid me down but my head rest in his arms, against his beating chest. He was scared.

"I'm sorry.. I never meant- but you.. You moved in front of him.. It wasn't you who I wanted to kill.." He said

Carlos had stepped in to fight him when he smacked me. But when I saw that Levi had a bigger knife in his hand, I moved in front of Carlos and I was the one who ended up getting stabbed.

"Go.. The police is here.." I said

"Why are you so nice? I could come back and kill all of them.." He said tauntingly

"Oh.. Yea.. I forgot.. Then.. Die..." I said as I took a hold of the smaller knife and stabbed him lightly

I didn't have much strength but I pushed the knife deeply inside. He cried out in pain, I heard the sirens. But suddenly it wasn't Levi who was next to him. It was Carlos. He was crying.

"Don't.. Cry.."

"Why? Why??!! Huh!! Why!!??! Please!! Don't go.. C'mon... Get up!!! The ambulance is here.. They're gonna take care of you..." He said in rushed words

"I'm.. Tired.. Let me sleep.." I said tiredly

"No.. C'mon.. Talk to me a little more.. It's summer.. Yeah? And- and.. Your birthday is coming up soon.. You need to open your presents.. I'm gonna take you out.."

"I love you.." I said

"W-what?" His blue eyes were glossy with tears threatening to spill

"I love you.." I repeated

"I love you too.." He kissed me

I kissed back.

It all went blank after that.

Never thought we'd have a last kiss
