Ruth's Pov

I was doing my homework while I was listening to the loud music from my phone

No hay otro hombre que te ame como Romeo

I was on pandora and Romeo's songs were playing quite a lot. But I didn't mind because he's too ugh for me. I love his voice. This week had actually gone by very quickly. Tomorrow is Friday and I have my date with Carlos. I'm actually very nervous but I'm trying hard not to think of it you know.. Trying to play it cool.

I'm glad that Elani looks better. She's been spending a lot of time with Anees, many could say that they're a couple or something. But Anees is with Jamal, even though no one knows. And Elani actually told me about this guy she met at a bar on the night she left my house. I was a little angry because she drank a little but decided not to bug her about it. She said his name was Aden and that he had the bluest eyes she had ever seen. And I wondered if they were much more beautiful can Carlos' but I laughed because no one has his eyes.

Once I finished my homework I didn't bother putting my books in my bag. I fell asleep right next to them.

I woke up with my phone playing music. Thankfully I had left it charging last night. I took a nice long shower, like I usually do. I decided to wear skinny jeans and a white plain v neck shirt. I wore an owl necklace and a black slightly oversized cardigan that hung loosely on my body just the way I like it.

Once I got to school, Anees and Elani were laughing. Is it weird that for a second I thought that they looked cute together? I walked towards them And they looked back at me and smiled

"Hello love birds

"Yuck!" They said looking at each other.

"Chill.. So what's up? You two have been very closely lately " I winked

"We actually have a lot more in common than we thought.. But I see you're happy.. Is it because of you know.. That boy that's walking towards us right now?" This time she winked

I turned around and saw Carlos walking this way. I blushed and looked down at the ground. Anees and Elani only laughed but chose to leave us alone.

"Hello.." He said with his hands on his back

"Hey.." I smiled

"School doesn't start till a while.. Wanna go grab a nice hot chocolate?" He asked

"Id love to.." I said

He took my hand in his and I looked down at it and smiled. We made small talk as we walked. His smile seemed to lighten up my day and I'm so glad that I met him.

I took a small black dress out and some black flats. Elani was laying down on my bed being lazy.

"Do I look okay?" I said as I twirled a little

"You look gorgeous.. Stop worrying so much.." She said

"Ugh.. I can't.. Should I wear something else? It looks like I'm going to a funeral.. Omg.. Should I just-"

"Jenny!!! Someone's here to see you!!" My mom yells from downstairs.

"Shoot!!! I don't have time to change.."

"Girl.. You look fine.. " she said as she gave me a small hug.

I took my small bag and walked out. I bit my bottom lip and tasted my sweet baby lips. I fixed my hair slightly. I walked out and there he was. He looked so cute.
