Shane: (walks in and sits on the couch across from them)
Rick: where were you in school
Mitchonne: I know you love miracle but ditching school is terrible you wanted to do better
Shane: dad I screwed up so bad
Mitchonne: what happen
Shane: I left her and miracle she was a single mom for over a month
Rick: you abandoned your family
Shane: (nods holding back tears) I love Selena and miracle
Rick: yeah sure
Shane: being a dad was hard I needed a break
Mitchonne: oh my god
Shane: she kicked me out until miracle is better
Mitchonne: what's wrong with miracle
Shane: she's sick
Mitchonne: how did you know she was sick when did you come back
Shane: today I heard she was sick from Regina I rushed over there
Rick: you weren't coming back
Shane: I was I wanted miracle to have her dad in her life I needed to think
Rick: I bet Selena was stressed and upset
Shane: (nods) I know she was she doesn't even have to say it
Rick: what did she say
Shane: custody arrangements and she wants to be friends for now starting over and working it out
Mitchonne: so technically you too are on a break she needs time to think after everything you did
Shane: yeah
Mitchonne: Rick
Rick: you can love her till things get worked out or when you graduate high school but since miracle will be here I'll baby proof the house did she start crawling
Shane: (smiles) yeah she did
Rick: she's growing up nicely I'll baby proof the house keep your little and older brothers and sisters away from miracle when you don't want them around and you and Mitchonne go get stuff for miracle

At the store
Mitchonne: this crib is cute
Shane: ok get it
Mitchonne: ok
Shane: (sees the bottles and grabs a few)
Mitchonne: what about some toys
Shane: there in my car
Mitchonne: you need more than that
Shane: fine
Hours later
At home
Shane: and done
Mitchonne: Wow uh
Shane: I know she's in my old room but
Mitchonne: you too are roommates
Shane: yeah but I can't get a house
Mitchonne: well you gave her enough room
Shane: well yeah she's my baby
Mitchonne: you think you and her will work it out
Shane: I want it too I spent a lot money on a ring months and months ago before miracle was born I still want to marry her I broke her heart I guess she needs time too
Mitchonne: (nods)
Shane: I wanted miracle to have a dad after learning about Selena's dad I wanted to give Selena that for miracle I ruined my family
