Every time you hear a poem

You hear a love poem

Or the insecurity poem

But this poem

Is a positivity

Happiness if found within ourselves

So don't rely on others to put a smile on your face

Relationships are the perfect example

You meet the right one

And your happiness is given to them

Thinking they will protect it with all their heart

Just to find out they didn't protect it enough

Heartbreaks are supposed to teach a lesson

Don't let it lessin who you are as a person

Don't cry because it over

        

Smile because it happened

You are a unique beautiful soul

Always remember

God took his time to create the human being you are today

And you are beautiful

You are beautiful

The word ugly doesn't mean an unpleasant appearance

Its an Acronym for

U

Got to

Love

Yourself

I understand

That it may be hard to look in the mirror sometimes

Wishing that it was a different person in the reflection

But the person in the reflection will pop up every time you look

        

No matter the size mirror

Look at it like this

When you look in the mirror

Hype yourself up

Say how fine you look

Even if you still in your pajamas and your hair looks a mess

Say how well your day is going to be

Tell yourself

How lucky you are to be living

And finally say to yourself

I love you

Because it starts with you

I may be a student that writes poetry

Telling you that you are worth something

But if you don't believe it yourself

These words don't mean anything

You may not know me

But I was once insecure too

        

About how I looked

How I dressed

How my body looked

Now complements actually mean something to me

Because once you realize that someone's beauty shouldn't affect your beauty

Then nobody can tell you differently

Nobody can tell you how to dress

How to love

How to be who you are

Because when you surround yourself with good vibes

Then that's what you will get in return

I may be a student who writes poetry

But I know it takes one person to change how your happiness is

How you look at yourself

And that is You!
