Ch. 12 Fire Wolves

From what she observed, it wasn't a very big pack, it only consisted about six fire wolves, but all O ranked. The alpha stood in the front of them all, and howled.

They charged, but the guards still kept formation around the prince, while the prince just panicked and stood in position, but his nose twitched once in a while, like he was sniffing.

Levi came running in front of his horse, protecting her if any came near.

Ah~~~ my kind brother. Don't worry, if anything happens I'll protect you too, she promised.

But Tierra just sat and watched, like his highness told her too, with her very relaxed face, though her eyes were cold like they always were with indifference.

There were grunts of pain resounding the forest, the wolves were definitely dominating them. Why she won't consider them 'us'? Well because she can take the alpha out which will cause the others to retreat, just a guess since she has never tried... but you know, she never said she didn't want to try either..

The prince also dashed to where Levi and Tierra were, still with his panic stricken face.

Aiyaiyaiyai... that face doesn't look good on you, your highness. Tierra smiled coldly inside her head.

It wasn't long before all the guards were taken out, but she just continued to pretend to be still reading, while she thought about what dessert she wanted to eat once they returned.

As the hungry wolves looked towards their direction, Levi stood in front of the prince.

"Don't worry Xander, I'll protect you!" He shouted with a determined face.

Don't stand up for this guy....haahh, Tierra sighed inside.

The prince looked behind him, on top of the still calm horse that she fell in love with by the way, it loved her too, ufufufufu, that's why it's so calm, AHEM. Off track..

He was quite shocked and speechless when Tierra was still with her calm and cold facade, reading a book. Well... he was already shocked speechless through the entire development, but whatever. She bet he was thinking somethinf along the lines of, why isn't this crazy woman doing anything!?!? Tierra could only laugh inside..

A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she saw the alpha lunge towards Levi.

Don't you dare....

Tierra snapped her book shut, and the sound was probably heard for about a kilometer... too much strength.. oops.

Tierra looked up, with the now closed book still in front of her face. She gracefully put the book down.

The alpha lost his balance from the book shutting and missed Levi completely, and it growled louder than before.

Levi and the prince just looked at her with wide eyes, before Levi turned back around, not wanting to get killed behind his back. The prince looked like he wanted to say something, but she ignored.

Tierra hopped down from the black stallion, as her cloak fluttered down she pet the blank stallion with gentle movements.

Levi grabbed her arm, as she was going to pass by him.

Haaah.... look Levi, I'm gonna have to reveal myself if I want to protect you this time....

We only have one horse, and if we bring that brat, prince I mean along with us too, we'd be too slow and they'd soon catch up to us... darn.

Why do you care so much about that guy....

Tierra gave him a reassuring smile, and shrugged his grasp around her arm off.

Levi was stupified, she was stronger than him only if she used the right techniques, if they're talking about strength.

I still got a long way to go. You need to stay innocent Levi~

"Hey you!" Tierra exclaimed while pointing her index finger at the alpha that was growling, readying itself to lunge at her.

"Are you crazy?!" Tierra kept hearing the prince and Levi shouting at her to stop, but she ignored them. She needed complete focus.

Tierra reached inside her cloak, and bent down to reach her boots she was wearing, and took out a dagger she had put there. The two looked dumbfounded that she even had a dagger with her.

She stood back up straight, and pointed the dagger at the wolf that was two times her size.

Don't worry brobro, I'll make this quick. All the other fire wolves just waited for their leader to kill us all, to show his glory. But let me show you... the power within me...

The alpha lunged towards her, and Tierra zoomed forward too. Anyone that was watching would just see the after image of her, that's just how fast she was.. but it is still slower than how she was before because of the dress she was wearing.....

If the others knew of this fact they probably would've died from the shock, and not just bleed from the fact that she can actually fight!

Tierra was face to face with the alpha, when she suddenly leapt to the side and sliced his neck as she zoomed by. Once her feet silently hit the ground, a loud THUD was heard. Tierra looked in front of her, and her eyes glared at the rest of the pack. They hurriedly whimpered and dashed off with their tails tucked between their legs, not wanting to be killed ruthlessly like their alpha.

AH!

Tierra quickly turned around, the dagger with blood all over it, still in her hand.

"Um.... want to go back home now?" Tierra asked, and chuckled awkwardly using her other hand to rub the back of her head.

They still stood there with fear in their eyes.

Fear....? Of me?

"Hey.... brobro, you don't fear me... do you?" Tierra asked gloomily, her head drooped.

He snapped out of his daze, and quickly replied, as he shook his hands rapidly.

"Nononono! I was just shocked, uh... you can fight?" He asked nervously.

Tierra nodded her head, and walked to the horse, and began petting him, again.

"I was doing it secretly, but the secrets out now. Hide it from mother and father for me, please?" She gave a dashing smile, as she leapt onto the horse by herself.

"Going to hop on?" She asked annoyedly as she looked towards the prince that has been silent for a long time. She held onto the reigns and pulled slightly, guiding Sparrow to trot towards Levi. Sparrow is what she named the black stallion by the way.

"I'm tired, how about we get home now?" Tierra asked with a yawn. He nodded.

"Um... you can also ride a horse?.."

Hm....? She opened her eyes wide, and let go of the reigns and held her arms up. SHE FORGOT!

"Eh? Hehehe.... no I dont... I just... I saw brobro doing it, and just copied you...?" I replied giving a nervous laugh..
