Chapter 24

I woke up at 10:42 a.m by Hayes throwing a pillow at me. I groaned and put my head under the pillow. Hayes came over to my bed and he jumped onto it, causing me to groan. 

"Go away." I groaned. 

"Nope. How do you sleep for twelve hours?" Hayes asked me. 

"Easy. Like this." I said, trying to go back to sleep. 

"No! Let's go to the mall." Hayes whined. 

"Why?" I asked. 

"Cause you wanna dye your hair and I wanna get out of the house." Hayes replied. 

"Fine." I groaned, pulling the pillow off of my head. 

I saw Hayes sitting on my bed with his legs crossed. He smiled at me and just sat there. I glared slightly at him, jokingly of course, and got up. How can he already be ready this early in the morning, especially if you don't have to get up. I groaned, remembering how I'm going to have to resume my courses online for school. We always had a computer room for schoolwork at the adoption center, and I was allowed a week off for adjusting into my new home. I then had the surgery which was two weeks off, but now I have to start again. At least I can do it on my own time. I went into my closet and put on a bandeau with my tie die shirt, Hollister shorts, and my galaxy converse. I went up into my bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth. I sprayed on some Hollister perfume and walked out of my bathroom. Hayes was still sitting on my bed scrolling through his phone. 

"Ready?" I asked. 

"Yep. Let's go." He said, opening my door for me. 

I thanked him and we walked downstairs. I found Jc and Connor in the living room. I sat down in the middle of them and looked at Connor. 

"What?" He asked. 

"Could you take Hayes and me to the mall?" I asked.

"Why?" Connor asked me. 

"I want to get new clothes and Hayes wants to get out of the house." I replied. 

"I'll meet you guys out in the car." Connor said, getting up and going upstairs. 

Hayes and I walked out to the car and we got into the back. Connor came out a few minutes later and we headed towards the mall. When we got there we parked and got out. I walked inside next to Hayes and Connor was standing behind us. We went into Hollister, Vans, Journeys, American Eagle, Aeropostale, LoveCulture, Abercrombie and Fitch, Forever 21, Pink, Hot Topic, Claire's, and Delia's. I bought one outfit from everywhere except from Hot Topic, Journeys, Claire's, and Delia's. I bought accessories from Hot Topic and Claire's, four pairs of shoes from Journeys, and a lot of outfits from Delia's. I now had a full closet. Hayes helped me bring my bags out to the car and then we went back inside. 

"Connor." I started. 

"What?" He asked. 

"I want to do something with my hair. I also want to get my ears pierced... and my belly button... and my lip." I said, looking at him. 

"You can get your ears pierced, let me think about your belly button, no for the lip, and it depends on what color you want to dye your hair." Connor replied. 

I frowned but then said,"I want to dye it a platinum blonde. Why can't I get my lip pierced? Sam has his pierced." I said. 

"Sam's also eighteen." Connor replied. 

"I just wanted something to remind me of my mom." I said, looking down, trying not to cry.

My mom had snakebites that she got right after she had me. They looked really good on her and I don't look like her in any way, so with this it would be my way to remember her. I want the same type of piercing she got. 

"Fine." Connor said, sighing. "How would it remind you of your mom?" 

"I look nothing like her, all my dad. She had snakebites that she got right after she had me." I replied. 

It was quiet after that. Hayes could tell I was a little upset so he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I thought it was a cute gesture and I smiled at him. We got to the place where they do your hair and I went in with Hayes and Connor. I told the lady what I wanted to do with my hair and she got it done for me in about an hour. After that, we went into the piercing shop that they had in the mall and I got my snakebites first. I then got my belly button piercing and ten holes each went into my ears. How Connor agreed to let me do all of this, I have no clue. When I was done, I took a look at my new look. I loved it. Here is to the past and the future. 

"What do you think?" I asked. 

"It looks really good." Hayes replied. 

"I honestly thought it wouldn't look good but it does." Connor replied. 

"Thank you." I said. 

Connor paid and then we went out into the car. I got in and Hayes got in next to me. We drove back home and we got out of the car. Hayes helped me with my bags. We got upstairs and put them into my closet and went back downstairs. I sat down on the couch and Cameron, Nash, Connor, Ricky, and Kian looked at me and turned back to what they were doing. They then did a double take and I laughed. 

"What did you do?" Jc asked. 

"Dyed my hair and got piercings." I replied. 

"They look good." Kian replied. 

"Thank you. I'm going upstairs now." I replied, getting up and heading upstairs. 

I got into my room and I saw that Hayes was right behind me. I smiled and let him in, closing the door right behind me. I sat on the floor and Hayes sat across from me. 

"You look beautiful." Hayes complimented me. 

"Thanks." I replied, biting my lip. "I have a question for you."

"Go ahead." He replied. 

"Well, there is this guy, and I think I may really like him. I feel like we are close enough now for me to ask for some advice. Should I ask him out? I've never had to do this before, and I'm also afraid that he will say no. What should I do?" I asked him. 

His face dropped a little but he said,"You should ask him out. Any guy would be lucky to have you." Hayes replied. 

I bit my lip again. His face dropped, was he really sad? I looked down and then looked back up into his eyes. I have to do it. 

"Will you go out with me?" I asked him. 

He looked shocked at first, but then smiled wide and responded saying,"I would be honored."

I smiled the biggest smile and he came over to me and gave me a hug. This was amazing. We talked for a few hours, getting to know each other more. I eventually got tired and went to my bed. Hayes turned out the light and crawled into his bed. 

"Good night beautiful." Hayes said. 

"Good night handsome." I replied, going to sleep.
