Connor Franta

I decided I wanted to check on Zoe, just to make sure she was okay. I was about to open the door to go in when I heard my name. I held my breath and stopped, slowly pulling away and listening.

"Why did you frown when I said Connor?" Trevor asked Zoe. "What happened between you guys?" Nothing happened as far as I'm concerned... I wonder what she's gonna say.

"Well, I feel like he just hasn't been the same, and I feel like it's my fault he can't be happy and how much better he would be without me. Now I feel like I'm gonna bring him down and he could be so much better, so much happier without a kid with him. Now he also has to do with a kid who has anxiety and depression and he's probably gonna worry about me 24/7 now. I don't want to do that to him. I don't want to bring him down like that! I feel so guilty and so bad because it's obvious! Connor wasn't ready for a kid like me, a depressed teenager. I'm the reason why he's drifting away from everyone, and there's only one way to stop it now." Zoe explained.

"What is that?" Trevor asked curiously.

"I'm gonna go back to the adoption center." She replied.

I looked down, frowning. She thinks it's all her fault, she thinks that's why I've been depressed for a while now. I was actually getting better until now, and I feel so upset that my little girl has to go through all of this shit in her life. None of what she said was true, it's not her fault one bit. She's not the reason I'm drifting away from everyone, it just looks like that because I let her drift away from me.  I sighed, walking into the room. Trevor was trying to talk her out of it, but the talking abruptly stopped the second the door opened.

"I just wanted to check and make sure you were okay." I said. "You can leave now too."

"Really? Okay, thanks Connor. Are we stopping at Walgreens?" She asked.

"Yeah. Trevor do you need a ride back home?" I asked him.

"It's okay, my mom can come get me." Trevor replied.

"Let me give you a ride. I don't want you waiting here alone for your mom." I insisted.

"Are you sure Connor?" Trevor asked, unsure.

"Yeah, c'mon." I said, holding the door open.

Zoe grabbed everything she owned along with Trevor and they walked out of the room together, me behind them. We had to be quiet because it was now late at night and all the patients were all most likely sleeping. Good thing the pharmacy is open twenty four hours a day. We got out to the waiting area and saw Kian asleep, using Jc's shoulder as a headrest and Ricky on his phone.

"You guys can go in one car." I said. "I'll take Kian's because I need to drop off Trevor and make a stop by the pharmacy at Walgreens."

"Okay, we'll see you at home." Jc said, shaking Kian awake.

"Kian I need your car keys." I said to him. He drowsily pulled them out of his pocket, handing them to me.

"Let's go." I said to Zoe and Trevor, heading towards the parking lot. They followed behind me, having their own small conversation. I found Kian's car and unlocked it, getting into the drivers seat. Trevor and Zoe sat in the back, and I saw Zoe lay her head on Trevor's shoulder.

"I heard your conversation earlier." I said, pulling out.

"Oh." Was all Zoe said.

"You're not bringing me down Zoe. There's actually something I've been meaning to tell you. I've been depressed for a really long time now, like since the beginning of February. I wanted to adopt someone who could pull me back together with the guys, someone that could help me, and you seemed perfect. I'm just upset that you have to go through everything you did and you're only thirteen! Please don't take this on yourself and please don't leave. Please don't leave me or the guys or your friends, we all love you Zoe and you aren't a burden to any of us." I spoke.

"I'm sorry Connor. It's just, I don't know. I think everything's my fault now after what happened with Eva. Apparently that was my fault and everyone thinks I'm the reason why O2L seems a little different and my fault that Hayes broke up with me and-" Trevor cut Zoe off.

"Hayes broke up with you?" Trevor asked.

"Yeah, he did." She clarified. "Over the phone too."

"I'm gonna kick his ass because he hurt you. And over the phone? He's a douche. Things aren't gonna be pretty next time I see him." Trevor said, anger evident in his voice.

"Alright Trevor, we're here." I said, breaking the silence that followed after Trevor said that.

"Thanks again Connor! Bye Zoe." Trevor said, closing the door and going up to his house, using the key he had to get in. I pulled out of Trevor's driveway and started driving towards the pharmacy.

"I'm so tired." Zoe said, yawning.

"Go to sleep, we're gonna go through the little drive thru thing they have set up." I answered.

Zoe nodded, yawning again and then closing her eyes. As I was driving there, I thought about a few things. Did Trevor break up with his girlfriend? I feel like he has a little crush on Zoe. Either that or he just really missed her, like a lot. He had his arm wrapped around Zoe and when Zoe talked about Hayes breaking up with her he was ready to pound the shit out of him the next time he sees him. It's kind of cute actually, but I just don't want him to be devastated if that's actually the case-him liking Zoe- and have Zoe reject him after what happened with Hayes. I pulled into Walgreens and got into the line thing, following instructions on how it works. I handed the lady working the prescription receipt the doctor gave me and about five minutes later she came out with a pill bottle.

"Thank you. Did her doctor fax over the insurance?" I asked.

"Yes sir. I will need to see your drivers license." She replied. I handed it to her and she checked a few things, handing it back to me.

"You're good to go sir. Have a great night." The lady said.

"You too." I said, rolling up my window and driving off towards home.

I'm ready to just snuggle into my bed covers and go to sleep. A few minutes later I got home. I placed the car keys in my pocket, opening the back door and picking up a sleeping Zoe. I made sure I had her supported in my arms before I shut the door and locked the car, knocking on the front door. Ricky answered the door and let me in.

"Thanks. I'm gonna put her in her bed then go to bed myself so night." I said to him.

"Alright, see you tomorrow morning." Ricky said, walking into the living room.

I climbed up the stairs and went down to where Zoe's room is, opening the door and walking in there, placing her gently on her bed. I then went down into my room and took off my shirt and pants, climbing into bed. I turned the tv on and set it on a timer so I don't have to worry about turning the tv off right when I'm almost asleep. I fell asleep about five minutes later.
