"Koda, wake up." Luke large hand cupped my shoulder and was now shaking my body awake.
"What? 10 more minutes." I groaned, failing at turning over. I shot up. I just know remembered I was in this stupid plane.
"Where am I." I groaned and rubbed my eyes.
"On a plane silly, or more importantly, Sacramento, California. Remember." His soft voice giggled as he pulled my body up from the seat. I rubbed my neck. Damn, I don't even know how I fell asleep in this thing.
"For now on, I'm driving." I say, brushing out all the wrinkles in my shirt. "This shit sucks." Luke rolls his eyes.
"Get off the plane, cranky pants." Luke said, swatted me with a travel brochure.

"How are you getting to your dad's?" Luke asks from beside me. To be honest? I have no idea. I don't have a phone number or anything. Not even an address.
"I- I don't really know..." I trailed off, playing with a lose pebble in the middle of the lobby. I don't even know what this man looks like, does he even know what I look like? Fucking great. I'm stuck in the middle of an unfamiliar state, in the middle of a damn airport, with a boy I just met, with no money. This really is hell.
"I won't leave until' you go." He said, gesturing towards the outdoors. "Besides, Jack isn't even here yet." He gave me a lop-sided smile.
"I don't want to leave." I mumbled under my breath, moving so I was standing right in front of him, with my back towards the door.
"Dakota?" A deep voice called from behind me. I froze in my spot and slowly looked up at Luke's face.
"He's behind me, isn't he?" I whispered at the tall boy. Luke's eyes flicked down towards me.
"Why are you whispering, love?" He knelt down a little so his face was level with mine.
"Dakota, please, I know that's you." The man sped up towards me and flipped my body around. "Wow, you've really grown up." I scowled at him. He looked like me, a lot. Well, I guess it's the other way around. I straightened my shoulders and looked the man in the eyes.
"I don't know you, sir." I said sassily, pulling out of his grasp, shoving his rather large hands off my body. His eyes traveled up Luke's long torso to his face. Luke smiled down at him.
"And who might you be?" My father questioned.
"Oh- Uh- sorry. I'm Luke, Dakota's friend from the plane." Luke's cheeks heated as he took my father's hand and gave it a polite shake. A loud car horn caught Luke's attention. "I guess I should get going. Uh-text me?" Luke said, giving me a small side hug and writing down his number on my hand with a pen before rushing out the airport to his brother's black Mercedes.
"Did he hurt you? Try anything?" My father rushed, I was more than convinced it was fake.
I scoffed. "No, he wouldn't do that," I hope, anyway, "And like you would care. You left me." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my bag. "Now please, take me to the hell hole I'll be living at." I start to strut off.
"Dakot- "
"Please, father." I turn on my heels to face him again. His dark hair is slightly gelled up, with a pair of Aviators stuck in them. His arms are covered in a sleeve of tattoos that traveled up to his neck. If I didn't know how much of a dick he really is, I would think he would be the slightest bit cool.
