"I wonder where Kat is." Taylor said, more to herself, but I heard it.  I kept my mouth shut.  There was no way in hell I was going to tell, the reason being I was too disgusted to even utter the words.

"I don't know." I lied, biting my lip.  Class was starting in a few minutes, and Kat had huge balls if she wanted to interrupt Mr. Parker's class.  He was a huge asshole when it came to tardies, and anything else for that matter.

"Good morning class." Mr. Parker boomed from his desk, in a way too loud matter.  He took his job way too seriously.  "Today-" He said, but was interrupted on cue.  A very late, and soaking wet Kat stumbles in, keeping her head low, clutching sun glasses to her face.  The room was engulfed in low whispers.

"Katrina, you're tardy." Mr. Parker spoke slowly.  "Reason being?"

"Stuff." She said hastily, flipping open her blank notes, sinking down in her seat.

"Place of being?" He began scribbling on a little notepad.  I saw her roll her eyes and tense up.

"Jesus Christ, stop interrogating me.  I was somewhere!" She snaps, standing from her seat.  "Leave me alone old man." She rolled her eyes before refocusing.  "Please."

"Katrina, take this and go to the office."

"Why!"

"I don't like you're attitude young lady!"

"I don't like you old man!"   She screamed, finally storming out of the room.

"Jesus, Kat." Taylor shook her head, sinking down in her chair.

"Something is definitely wrong with her." Jasmine tuned in.

I was positive I was the only person in this room that knew somewhat of what was going on with her.

Luke's POV

"So, how's Kat?" I ask Ashton from across our lunch table.  We had met up for lunch break at campus, at a local Wendy's of course.

"Actually, Luke, she's been kind of weird these past few days.  I feel like she's been avoiding me the whole weekend.  I couldn't think of anything I've done." He shrugged, taking a bite of his burger.  He acted so nonchalant, but I could see it was really bothering him.  I mentally frowned.  I couldn't stand lying to his face like this.

"I'm sure everything's okay, something at home, maybe?" He smirked, shaking his head and looking down.  I cringed in my head.  I lied.  Again.

"Nah, Kat's an emancipated young adult.."  I raise an eyebrow at his words.  I had no idea what he meant, but it sounded daring.  I leaned forward for him to carry on.

"You know, she's basically free from her parents, her being a senior, and having rich parents that practically live on the ocean."  he laughs, taking in my facial expressions.  "It means exactly what you think it means."  He chuckles again, taking a sip of his soda.

"Sex.  All the time.  Everywhere." He adds on.  I nod.

"Wow." I roll my eyes, drinking my pop as well.

"I just don't get it." Ashton ignores me, slapping his hand on the table to stand up.  "I think I'm going to go, I have some studying to do...."  But, I had a feeling he was going somewhere else.

"Yeah, okay, mate.  Drive safe, call me, okay?  Let me know what's up." I say as we put on our jackets.

"Gotcha."  He said opening the door to leave, letting in Dakota.  Her eyes lit up as she saw us.  She smiled and stepped to the side.
