"Uh- that was no one." I smile, I didn't really feel comfortable explaining to Luke that I had a date tonight.  That would be weird, right?

"Oh, okay." He didn't ask any further questions about it.  "So, the boys and I were thinking and we think it would be fun to have a party tonight.. You down?" He smiled.

"Uh, actually I can't...."  I knew he was trying to be friendly.

"And why's that?" Luke pushed.  He rocked on his feet and looked at me with shinning blue eyes.

"Because....I have a date." I said quietly.  His smiled fell, and his eyes turned icy.

"A date?" he raised his eyebrows, his jaw slightly tensing for unknown reasons.  I frowned. "With who?'

"I don't think that's really any of your business."  Luke raised his hands in defense.  He tried to play it off like he didn't care, and that hurt.

"Alright.  Jesus.  Just curious." He laughed.  "It won't be later anyways."  He kicked the ground beneath his feet.

"And what stuff is that?" I ask.  I shake off my feelings and try to continue being friends.

"I don't think that's any of your business." He retorted, using my own line against me.

"Jerk."  Luke rolled his eyes.  "So why did you come here." He changed the subject.

"Actually..." I pondered. "I don't remember." It was the truth.  I had absolutely no idea what I came here for.  "To find you."

"For?" He pushed.  He grinned.  I could tell he was enjoying this.

"I.....I don't know." I giggled.

"Well then...I don't think you should be forgetting things like this.  You're only 17." He laughed.

"18." I corrected him.  "My birthday was Friday..."

"Right.  I remember.  You came home with me." He winked.

"You're such a boy." I rolled my eyes at him, setting my coffee down on the table.

"Well, you know right after I saved your ass." He laughed.

"Right.  I remember." I giggled.

"Have you heard anything from Kat?"

"No, nothing at all.  She kind of had a mental breakdown in the middle of class today." I say, rubbing my forehead.

"Kind of?"  I nodded.

"She flipped her shit."

"Girls and their shit flipping." Luke shook his head.  His phone buzzed and he immediately looked at it.

"Uh-yeah, I'm sorry, Koda, I really have to go." His eyes were wide.  Luke gave me a quick hug and left.  Just like that.

"That was weird..." I said, but decided not to worry about it.  Luke was always hiding secrets....  As hard as it was I tried to give up on him ever telling me any.  I walked out of the building and stormed back to my car.

LUKE

Worst timing ever.

"Andrew?  Are you in here?" I whisper.  "You I was kind of in the middle of something."  I said rather annoyed.  He was supposed to be in Pennsylvania, not here.

"Shut up Luke." Andrew sighs. He appeared from the darkness like some kind of fucking horror movie.  "Sit down."  Andrew motions to a seat slightly to the left of me.  "Let's talk."

"What are you doing back so early?" I say, clutching the arm rest.

"Never mind that."  He pushes along.  "Why didn't you tell me about your little 'encounter" with Drake's pussy posse?" Andrew raises his eyebrow.
