The Dragon Princess (Hiccup x reader)

Y/N POV-

I woke up like every other morning I can remember with moonlight my female nightfury nudging me with her wing. "Ok moonlight ok I'm getting up." I opened my eyes to see a pair of sapphire eyes meeting my own e/c eyes. I pushed moonlight away from my face so I could move the big leaf I use as a blanket so I could get off of my makeshift bed in the cave that me and moonlight share. She watched me as I stood up giving me her puppy dog eyes telling me that she wanted breakfast. "Dragon princess after breakfast there are a lot of dragons that require your help," moonlight told me whilst I was getting the creases out of my f/c knee high dress and putting on my matching f/c flower crown that moonlight had made me on my head. " Ok moonlight I will be more than happy to help any dragons that need me," I told her whilst smiling. 

 I went to the basket that I had a made out of sticks to fetch some fish for moonlight. I tossed three pieces of cod to her which she thanked me for. I then wondered outside of our cave to have the sunlight highlight my h/c hair and warm my body from sleeping in our cave. I walked up to three of the many fruit trees that are on our island. I picked apples, oranges and pineapples for my breakfast. I decided to eat my breakfast outside as it was such a lovely day. I sat outside our cave on the lush green grass taking in the beauty of our island. Our island is called Dragon island. Dragons of all different species live here in harmony. The island has a forest that takes up two quarters of the island with a magnificent beach taking up the third quarter and caves such as mine and moonlight's taking up the other quarter.

 I was just finishing my last mouthful of fruit when a Deadly Nadder otherwise know as Spike came running up to me. " Oh Dragon princess please I need your help, my brother Mike is stuck and I can't free him!" " Calm down Spike of course I will come and help your brother." I stood up and called moonlight and then told Spike to lead us to where Mike was. Spike was running in front of me and moonlight. Suddenly he stopped and me and moonlight crashed into him. "Sorry," Spike said. "That's ok Spike," I said. I walked in front of Spike and noticed that we were on the very edge of the forest by the beach and on the beach was Mike with a branch on top of his leg so he couldn't get free. " Please help me Dragon princess," pleaded Mike. " Hold on and don't move Mike. We will help you." I told moonlight and Spike to help me gently lift the branch off of Mike's leg. We dumped the branch on the beach. I looked at Mike's leg. There was a big cut bleeding on his leg. I told Mike to stay laid down on the ground and to not get up. However, I don't know if I mentioned that Mike and Spike were two very arrogant twin brothers who rarely listen to anyone and like to annoy the other dragons. So Mike ignored me and tried to stand up on his bad leg. He cried a roar out in pain and fell back down. "That's was happens when you don't listen," I told him. He apologised and I told him once again to lay on the ground. He listened this time. 

I picked a f/c flower from the ground and held it over the cut on his leg and placed my other hand over the flower and made a circular motion above the flower. The flower started to glow and each petal from the flower one by one fell into the cut. The petals made the cut glow and after all of the petals fell into the cut the cut was fully healed. That is the special power I have. I can use any kind of flower to heal injures and wounds on dragons and myself. I once got pricked by a thorn and healed my cut with a flower. My power and the fact that I can speak dragonese is the reason that the dragons call me the dragon princess. "Thank you Dragon princess thank you!" exclaimed Mike. "Yes thank you dragon princess for helping my brother," cheered Spike. " Your welcome." " Yes what would we do without you Dragon princess," said moonlight. I hugged mooonlight and placed a f/c flower behind her ear. Mike and Spike then went running back into the forest to carry on playing the game that they were playing before Mike got stuck. "I'm going to go after them to make sure they don't get into anymore trouble," moonlight told me. I told her ok and she wondered into the forest after the twin dragons.

 I went for a walk along the beach and sat on the golden sand looking out to the ocean. I wonder what's it's like out there in the world. I love my Island and helping heal dragons but I just wonder what other dragons are out there and were other humans like me live. I have asked moonlight about the world beyond our island before since she and the other dragons have left the island unlike me. She said that the world is a dangerous place and that humans captured and kill dragons and that they would want me because I can speak dragonese. However, I don't believe that all humans can be that mean to dragons. I have asked moonlight to take me on a flight to another island but she refused saying that the world is too dangerous for me instead she flys me around our island. I appreciate her concern but I am 20 years old in human years and she told me that means I am an adult so I should be able to go to and explore other islands. I sigh and look out to the sea watching the sunset start to form.

Moonlight's PoV-

I found the twin brothers in a cave fast asleep. It was almost sunset so I went back towards the beach looking for the dragon princess. When I got to the beach I spotted the dragon princess looking out towards the sea. I hid behind a couple of bushes and watched her looking at the sunset. I know she wants to go and explore other islands but I can't risk anything happening to her because she is too special and important to me and the other dragons on this island. And I have no clue what other humans would do to her if they found her and found out about her healing power and her ability to talk dragonese. Not forgetting the fact that she can not speak human.

This is my first chapter of my very first book. I hope you like it. I have read so many other books about httyd and httyd x reader so I decided to have a go at writing my own. Let me know if you think I should carry on with the book as I have a lot of ideas for this book. Hiccup and the gang will be in the next chapter.
