Rydel's POV

It's been 2 hours since Maya fainted and a nurse had said she was just tired and that she needed to rest for a little while, so now she's lying on the couch, sleeping and snoring, which is funny. I stand up from sitting next to Maya and walk over to Ell who's sitting in a chair next to Talia who's sitting with her legs over Ross's lap with her feet on the arm of the chair. I walk to Ell and sit on his lap.

"Hey babe," he said lazily.

"Hey baby," I said.

"How ya doin?" he asked.

"I'm ok," I sighed. "How are you doing?"

"Tired."

"Makes sense."

"Yep," he yawned. "I feel like Augustus Waters did at the end of the book." (Augustus Waters is a character from a book by John Green called The Fault In Our Stars and you need to go read it right now)

"So, not good."

"Nope."

"I feel like Hazel Grace when she couldn't breath, because I feel like I've been holding my breath ever since I heard about Riker, and I'm not going to stop holding my breath until he's better," Tears started filling my eyes.

"Hey, he's going to get better, I promise."

"But what if he doesn't? What will happen then?" the tears started to fall.

"Hey, calm down everything is going to be ok. I promise you that."

I didn't say anything; I just covered my face with my hands and started silently crying. I felt hands on my wrists pulling my hands away from my face. I stared at Ell and he stared back. Then like it was scripted our lips crashed together and we were kissing. About a minute later we were still kissing and I heard shuffling footsteps behind us and felt a tap on my shoulder. I pulled away and we both looked behind me to see a nurse standing there.

"Sorry to interrupt, but are you Rydel Lynch and Ellington Ratliff?" she asked.

"That would be we." Ell said.

"Ok. Riker Lynch has woken up and if you want you two can go see him. But only two people can go see him at a time, because we don't want to overwhelm him." she said.

"Ok! Thank you for telling us!" I said.

"Yes, thank you!" Ell said.

The nurse went back through the doors, disappearing behind them. She probably would have offered to help us find the room if we hadn't been here and gone to see him many, many times, so we've practically memorized the layout of the entire hospital so, yay! Catch the sarcasm? We both stood and Ell grabbed my hand and we gripped each other so hard. I pulled him to and though the double doors. We ran down the halls and to his room. I stopped for a millisecond and then walked in, pulling Ell with me. He was hooked up to what looked like hundreds of wires, but at least he was awake. He looked over at me and smiled weakly. I let go of Ell's hand and ran over to him giving him a bear hug, making sure I didn't hurt him. I could feel him trying to hug me back but he couldn't quiet do it. I pulled away, slowly and looked at him.

Tears filled my eyes and started to fall. He slowly reached up and wiped them away leaving his hand on my cheek. I snuggled my head into his hand. I felt a hand rubbing my back. I closed my eyes and tried not to cry. Riker reached up and me into a week hug.

"It's ok Delly. You can cry." he said hoarsely.

I let them fall. Sobs that I had been holding in ever since this whole thing happened rattled my body. Ell rubbed my back and Riker hugged me as tightly as he could. I started crying even harder if that was even possible. After a few minutes I didn't have any more tears left, so I pulled away from Riker's hug. He smiled, so I smiled back.
