"Ouch!"
Soliré was whacked once more by Ben's training saber; the two had been practicing sparring for about an hour and the girl was only feeling worse and worse about her skill. Ben Solo was a natural at all of it; using the Force, fighting with a light saber, piloting... She began to believe there wasn't anything Ben couldn't do. She shook her hand a bit, a red mark forming on it. Ben looked at her with concern.
"We can stop if you want, Soliré... I don't want to hurt you."
That was something that always irritated her when she trained with Ben; he would always hold back. She viewed it as him thinking she was weak, he viewed it as not wanting to hurt his friend. He extended his hand and she sighed in irritation, taking it. Ben quickly began assessing the damage, causing her to roll her eyes, "Ben, I'm not fragile."
"Senator Berenko specifically said that you were not to be injured," She joined in at the very end, copying his words before yanking her hand away. Ben sighed, "Your father wouldn't be thrilled to know that you are perhaps one of the most reckless padawans here."
Soliré laughed, "I could care less what Father thinks. He was thrilled to put me on that ship with you and your uncle and ship me off to train. His precious Thadlé is safe from her freak sister's distractions."
She loved her sister, she truly did. When they weren't being separated by their father, they often confided in one another. Other than Ben, her sister was truly her best friend. Thadlé didn't want to become Queen; she only wanted to make their father proud. Soliré didn't blame her; it seemed like a lot of work. Suddenly, she felt something in her head. Almost as if someone was probing her...
"Stop it, Ben!"
"Stop what?"
"Trying to hear my thoughts!"
Ben chuckled, "It's not as if there is much to hear going on in there anyway."
"For your information, I have plenty of thoughts and all you have to do it ask me."
"Were you thinking about your father and sister?"
Soliré frowned, "Yes, I was. I miss her... Father works her really hard. It makes me grateful that I'm her with you and Master Luke."
Speaking of Luke, he was approaching the two young teens with a smile on his face, "How did your sparring session go?"
"Good."
"Terrible."
Luke raised a brow, "Which one is it?"
Soliré groaned, "I lost again, Master Luke. Ben is too good."
"But you're getting better."
Luke watched the two fondly; Han and Leia has asked him to train Ben, seeing too much Vader in him. Meanwhile, Maris had feared that his daughter's unchecked abilities could harm others. Individually, he could understand their fears; Ben was prone to melancholy and dark thoughts, fear was strong within him. Meanwhile, Soliré was prone to emotional outbursts; she often bottled up her emotions too often and literally let them explode. He noticed that together, they brought out the best traits in one another; they helped each other improve.
With a chuckle, he eyed the both of them, "You both have your strengths and weaknesses. You must learn to appreciate them both. Soliré, you are wonderfully gifted in the Force, but you're lacking in the sparring department. Ben, you're strong in all aspects, but Soliré is able to maintain control when using the Force for longer spans of time than you are; in other words, she has greater focus. I'm proud of both of you."
