Jades POV
I walk into my room knowing Evan is behind me. I don't want to push away the memories I had when he was the American boy. The way he called me things no guy ever has before, and the accent that just made my heart melt. I take a deep breath in and go lay on my bed. I stare at the white walls and cupboard doors that surround my room. Evan sneaks in beside me and puts his arms around my waist pulling me in closer. I couldn't ask for anything more,
"Jade you do realise you've been out of school for a week now?" Evan pipes up,
"Oh. OH! Shit! Oh well... Not like anyone would care anyway," I say mumbling the last bit more or less. "I've thought about it a bit and realise I actually hardly know you... Who are you? REAL YOU?" I make last bit extra clear.
"Uh. Well, my name is Evan Reynolds. I'm 17 years old. I come from Melbourne Australia and go to your school. I have lived here since I could remember, but I did move when I was 2 from Texas cause that is where my mum is really from but she died a few years ago..." He says trailing off, "I'm the youngest of my siblings, I have a brother and a sister who I love more than anything and well Cooper, who you met came here when he was a bit older cause he had ADHD and went to a special kind of school in the U.S., living with my grandparents until he came here, Liv came with my mum too. I mean dad went to live there for a while and met my mum and well fell in love ladida, marriage then kids and yeah we've ended up here in Aus! Dad became a cop, mum was a midwife, and they loved their life. I live about a 20 minute drive from here and I've always known that house as home. We never moved after mum passed cause we wanted something to remember her by, so we just work together, our little gang." I look at Evan. A shadow has been drawn across his eyes, "I just still can't believe she's gone," he almost whispers.
"Hey," I calmly say grasping him into a big bear hug, "I had a close friend, who used to always tell me, 'remember the good memories you had together and smile cause smiling costs nothing,'" I smile at my statement and remember to do something later,
"Jade, I know why I love you. Cause you're like my mum. Beautiful and caring in everyway possible, you lead me in the wrong directions that are so right. You put me before anyone and would do anything for me because you have such a loving caring heart of gold." He cups a hand on my jaw and looks into my eyes as a stare back into his. We share the same blue eyes but he has the most incredible gold shimmering of a ring in his. He leans into my face and softly presses his lips onto mine. I breathe in through my nose and out again. I move intime with him and we sit there for a little bit before I gently pull away and we end up slightly puffed. The shadow has gone and whats left is the bright handsome face of the boy I think I love. Yes only think. I'm still trying to get my head around some stuff.
2 Hours Later
"No! Omg Evan I swear take one more step and you wont know what hit you!" I say. He's holding the vanilla cake spatula in one had and ready to tickle me with the other. While I have nothing to defend myself with I'm cornerned and my brain isn't working on tactics how to get out of a situation like this,
"Do you wanna repeate what you said Jade?" Evan asks with a cheeky grin on his face, knowing if I do I'm gonna get it,
"Nah not really. Its not that important really," I say trying to assume he'll fall for it. Ha. Wrong. He tackles me to the ground seemingly strong, but not strong enough to get out of me in the mode when I'm being tickled. I squeal and kick and hit and batter goes everywhere and I gasp for air until finally he gives in. I don't care about the mess, I just care about not having a heart attack at 16,
"Oh, my gosh Evan you muppet," I say in between gasping for air. He's right beside me doing the same,
"You love meeeee!" He says in a sing song tone. I look at him and then we both burst out laughing. This is the guy I fell in love with,
"Hey wanna go for a skateboard?! Its been way too long!" I complain,
"Ok Jade lets go babe! Race you out," He says with a wink. I turn the oven off and race to get ready.
"It it ON! Evan Reynolds!" I shout around the house.
