*Harry's pov*

"She knows them, I'm certain of it," Harry was explaining to his father, who sat across from him, "she says that their relationship is strictly professional, but from what I saw, it's anything but that."

"You say the wolf, he had red eyes at one point?" Marc Spector then asked from his place by the window. Mr.Osborn had called him the second Harry said he had news. After explaining everything to his father, Harry had to tell it all again when the sinister businessman arrived. He came in a white sport coat and pants, his traditional crescent moon emblazoned on his breast pocket. He was looking through the pictures the boy had taken of his encounters, and he murmured, "he's gotten bigger."

"Yeah," Harry reaffirmed, though more referring to the eyes than his size, "and Michelle just talked to him and he seemed to calm down. She even petted him."

"Intriguing," Mr.Spector murmured, grazing his fingers over his beaded chin. He thought a moment before musing, "his wrath occurs every full moon, the most recent being yesterday, and if he somehow has learned to control it..."

"What would that mean for you, Marc?" Mr.Osborn asked, turning to the man that still stood by the window.

"It changes nothing," Mr.Spector huffed with a sharp exhale through his nose. He departed from the window to approach Harry, who shrank down in his seat as the imposing man stood over him. "You said their relationship might be more than professional, and you said the girl seemed to calm the beast. Could it be... romantic?"

Harry gulped. "I don't know. She has a boyfriend..."

The werewolf hunter pursed his lips, frowning to himself. He seemed to drop into a trance as his eyes darted around, seemingly chasing a dozen thoughts at once. Then, he shook his head and moved over to the fireplace, where Mr.Osborn stood. He leaned his elbow on the mantel and stared into the fire.

"It's the Spider-Man that's the real hiccup," Mr.Spector mused, "I only want the lycan, but with that guy swinging around, it'll be hard to get him alone."

"So what do you suggest?" Mr.Osborn asked, "in regards to separating them?"

"Let me think," the man then fell into silence, staring intently at the fire. He didn't say anything as he thought to himself, and Mr.Osborn turned back to Harry. He reached over a gave the back of his son's hand a pat.

"You did good, Harry," he admitted, "keep it up."

"Do I have to?" Harry groaned. He didn't want to keep playing spy for his father. He thought this was just a one time thing. "Don't you know everything now?"

"It's not enough," Mr.Osborn countered, "you can't possibly believe that would be all."

"What else do you want to know?" Harry asked, so annoyed that they couldn't keep him out of this.

"You said your friend, Peter, worked for Tony Stark," his father said, "he must know them too. Why not ask him if he knows anything?"

Harry thought about that. Peter supposedly worked closely with the eccentric billionaire, according to Michelle. Maybe he might have had a few encounters with Werewolf and Spider-Man as well. Plus, if Harry and Peter were going to be friends again, he might get to know all about his exclusive dealings sooner or later. Why not kickstart that now? That wouldn't be too suspicious if it was in the name of reigniting an old friendship, right?

"I mean, sure," Harry conceded, running a hand through his brown hair, "but it just seems like a little much."

"He's right," Mr.Spector agreed, much to Harry's surprise. The businessman turned to his father, a severe look on his face, "him spying for us will only get us so far. Sooner or later, they'll start to suspect him. It's time for action."

Harry tipped his head. He didn't know why this guy was taking his side, but hey, he'd take it. If the werewolf hunter could get him out of spying, then Harry would be very happy. Then, he might be able to have a solid friendship with Michelle and Peter, without the pressure of having to find out everything about their lives. Michelle might still think him weird for earlier today, but he hoped that would be forgotten with time.

"Your friend, the "Tinkerer" or whatever he calls himself, he's building something for you, is he not?" Mr.Spector asked, and Harry's father nodded.

"Yes, and it's to be used for another one of my employees, a Russian," Mr.Osborn explained, crossing his arms, "he's been itching to use it."

"And I'm thinking that time has come," Mr.Spector mused with coy smirk, "tell your Tinkerer to work double-time. I want that tech working and ready for use by the weekend."

He then marched toward the door without another word. Mr.Osborn seemed confused, and chased after the man, "what are you planning, Marc?"

"I want to see just how strong the lycan's grown," Mr.Spector said simply, walking into the elevator and turning, "let's put him to the test, shall we?"

"But what about the Spider-Man?"

"Collateral damage has never been a concern of mine," was the last thing the werewolf hunter said before the doors closed.

Yeah, it's a little short, but they can't all be winners, right? But don't worry, I'll make it up to you in the next chapter. Anyway, here's 24, and we've made good progress! Let's keep it going! Gotta love the ominous note I left us on, huh? No? Okay.
