When Peter woke up the next morning to the smell of sizzling bacon, he saw that MJ was already gone. He knew he was a heavy sleeper, but he was surprised that she hadn't even disturbed him. He was aware that her father had picked her up, and she had left a note on the coffee table, with his notebook as well, ensuring that fact. He sat up and stretched, yawning deeply and looking over toward the kitchen. Aunt May was cooking up some breakfast for him, but was surprised to see that Jack wasn't sitting at the counter like he usually was.

"Why didn't you wake me up, May?" Peter asked as he rubbed the last bits of sleep from his eyes and meandered into the kitchen.

"There was some heavy snow last night so school's been delayed for an hour," was May's simple explanation, sliding some strips of bacon on a plate and placing it in front of Peter, "Michelle already left. Her father came in one of those trucks with the shovel in the front."

"Where's Jack?" Peter asked as he bit into his bacon.

His bedroom door then opened and Jack appeared, fully-clothed and his black backpack hanging from his shoulders. His blue eyes carried a distant look and Peter tipped his head at him. Jack glanced at him and he suddenly looked even more depressed. As he sat next to him at the counter, Peter asked him what was wrong.

"MJ told me what happened last night," the werewolf explained, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to help."

"It's okay. It turned out fine. In fact, your girlfriend helped out," Peter said with a cheeky smile, which Jack didn't reciprocate.

"I'm so sorry, Pete."

"Don't worry, dude. I'm not afraid of an evil snowman."

"No, it's-."

"Oh, and this came in the mail for you two." May then placed a small box in front of them. It was labeled "from T.S" in black sharpie, and Peter grinned. Jack immediately perked up, despair forgotten, as he exclaimed, "Cool!"

They opened the box, and when they looked inside, there was two small Apple watches. One had a black-and-white wriststrap and the other had a red-and-blue one. They picked up the ones whose color schemes were associated with them and inspected the watches curiously. There was a note inside the box that read, "For when you're apart".

"Hey, he took my idea!" Jack said, and he pressed the screen and Peter's watch screen lit up with a vibrant white spider and vibrated, the exact address of the Parker apartment appearing after it in tiny white words. "I said if we were ever separated and we needed each other for something that we should have something to signal each other with if we didn't have a phone. I can't use my communicator in my human form so..." He held up his watch. "I thought of this thing."

Peter then pressed the screen of his watch and Jack's watch screen lit up with a white wolf's head and vibrated, the same way Peter's did, and listed off the same location. The wallcrawler smiled broadly. Something like this couldn't have come at a better time. When they checked the box further, they discovered that there was one other thing; a state-of-the-art headset with a spider over one earphone and a wolf's head over the other. There was a note for that too, saying "for your guy-in-the-chair. Connects to your mask and earpiece. Have at thee, children."

"We stan a legend," Jack laughed, and Peter was about to ask him what he meant when he noticed that Aunt May was standing in front of them, arms crossed and a pensive look on her face.
