Chapter 2: Some Assembly Required Part 1

(Y/n)'s POV
I tossed and turned in my bed trying to fall asleep but just couldn't. I got out of bed, grabbed my Bayard, and walked out. I walked into a random room that had altean writing. I tried to walk out but the door closed on me. 'What the hell', I thought. A robot that seemed to be a gladiator dropped down in the middle of the room. "Oh so this is the training room, great just what I was looking for." I said sarcastically. The gladiator got into a fighting stance. I grinned and said, "Oh you want a fight, well consider me an enemy." I summoned my bayard and shot at the gladiator. The gladiator dodged the shots I fired and swung its staff at me. I dodged and swung my leg at its feet. It fell but quickly recovered then tried to attack me. The gladiator cornered me and raised its staff to strike me. I pressed and held the trigger to my shooter and a string of light came out and attached to the gladiator. [I don't even know anymore I have not slept for a day and a half] I smirked and threw the gladiator into the wall. It was dazed so I shot at its head ending the simulation. "Level 1 completed, would you like to continue?" A programmed voice said. "Uh yeah!" I said. Level 2 started immediately.  
Time Skip
"Level 10 completed, would you like to continue?" The voice asked again. "No I'm done for the night." I said and wiped my sweat off of my forehead and walked out. Once I reached my room an alarm went off and I groaned. "Everybody up, Zarkon is attacking!" Allura said over the speaker. I quickly ran to the control room. I met up with the others only to see Allura and Coran completely okay, well Allura was. "I guess there's no Zarkon attack happening." Shiro mumbled. "And it's a good thing too, because it took you Coran?" Allura asked sternly. "75 degrees, Oh wait this is a meat thermometer." Coran said. Allura groaned and walked up to us. "However long it was, it was too long, you must be ready to do battle with Zarkon, Look at all of you," Allura said, "Only Shiro and (Y/n) are in uniform, Keith, Hunk, Pidge where are your bayards, and where is Lance?" The door opened and revealed Lance in all of his glory. "Hey, what's going on everybody." He asked. 'Even in space he still cares about his self care routine .' I thought. "Coran and I have been up for hours getting the castle back in order, we decided to test the alarms and thought it would be good idea to test you as well, guess who failed." Allura growled. "Hey at least you got to sleep for 10,000 years, Monday night I was on Earth, now I've flown through space in a giant mechanical lion, fought with an evil demon alien and eaten some weird goo in a castle, that's a lot to process." Hunk yawned out. "You must understand the stakes of our mission." Allura said. She pressed a button and a hologram map of the galaxy showed up. "Over the last 10,000 years the castle picked up distress signals from the following locations, so we all can assume Zarkon has taken over almost the entire universe," Allura started explaining, "Here is earth an attack on earth is inevitable." My eyes widen as she showed us the blue colored planets, which was less than the red colored planets. "Our mission is to free those planets, Coran and I are getting the castle ready to leave, during that time you need to learn how to form Voltron so that we can be ready to defeat Zarkon." Allura finished. "The princess is right, Let's get ready and start training." Shiro said. "Wait but I want to talk to the prisoners." Pidge said. "Negative number 6, I'll rank you by height," Coran replied, "The prisoners need to stay in the quarries until tomorrow." "That's right now get to your lions," Allura said, "Except for you (Y/n) since Voltron doesn't need the teal lion to form." I looked down a bit disappointed and Lance ruffled my hair as they walked out. "Hey Allura can I see the earth hologram in the meantime?" She nodded and let me see the hologram. I could zoom in and out on different countries and states. I zoomed in on Cuba and stared at the beaches. 'Don't worry, we'll save the universe, even if it means risking our lives .' I thought.
Time Skip
I walked with Allura and Coran into the room the paladins were in, still looking at the small hologram of earth in my palms. "You did it you formed Voltron!" Allura said. I quickly turned off the hologram and looked at everyone. "No, the particle barrier went down so we flew in." Keith said. Allura went back to grouch mode. I sat next to Lance, who put his arm over my shoulders, then Shiro walked in. "What are you guys doing we have to continue training." Shiro said. "We have been training, when are we going back to earth?" Hunk asked. "I'm not going back till I find my family." Pidge said in a serious tone. "Guys there won't be an Earth to return to if we don't find a way to defeat Zarkon." Shiro said. "How, we can't even form Voltron?" Lance asked. I shrugged in response. "Well I'm not surprised, the old paladins fought together side by side as a team." Coran said. "Yeah that's definitely not us." I said while leaning into Lance. Keith looked at us then back at Allura slightly pouting. I smiled a bit at the action. "Durring the last attack only your survival tactics helped you out, but that will only get you so far, you have to bond as a team to form Voltron and defeat Zarkon, Why don't you try out the training deck?" Coran replied. The rest looked confused while I stared blankly. "There's a training deck?" They asked. I nodded and Lance looked at me confused. "How do you know?" He whispered. "I didn't sleep at all, instead I trained." I whispered back. He gave me a bitch-face and whispered back, "We're talking about this later." I sighed and nodded then we head off to the training deck.

Hey I finally got everything under control, but season 6 man... that was my nightmare/dream come true, anyways hoped you enjoyed this chapter! [Also Lance deserves all the love in the universe]
