Introduction

My story is different than everyone else's. It's more heartbreaking. Hi I'm Hailey, Hailey Matthews. You might know my sister Riley. That's right,she's my sister. You might be wondering, "How?" Well here's my story. When Riley was born, I was about 7 years old. My parents never gave me attention. But then when Riley turned 2, that's when me and my parents had an argument. Here's how it began.

"Why don't you ever pay attention to me anymore?" I asked. "All you do is pay attention to Riley and not me!"

"We still pay attention to you, but Riley is our baby. We have to give her attention to." My dad said.

"All you care about is her! You never once cared about me!"

"That is not true Hailey!" My mom said. Their anger started growing and growing.

"It is too true! You guys are all over Riley!" I said.

"This behavior needs to stop! We love you just as much as we love Riley!" My dad said. "But she is younger,she's still learning. You're the older sister, you're supposed to teach and be the bigger person."

"Maybe I don't wanna be the bigger person! And maybe I don't want to be a sister!"

"Hailey Matthews!" My mother yelled.

"No! I wish I never had a sister!" I said.

"Well if you're going to act like that, then you can leave!" My dad said.

"Fine!Maybe I will! I never wanted to be in this family! I hate you both!" I started crying and ran away. After that, I moved into my grandma's house because she cares about me the most. One night my grandma gave me money to go to a concert.I was walking home and I saw my parents. They looked away and kept on walking. I ran home into my room and started crying.I'm being honest, I never wanted to leave home. But they never cared. I did want to see Riley. I do want to be her sister. I want to have a sister. But they'll never take me back. Hopefully in the future we'll meet someday. But that's my story from the past. Let's talk about the present. Let me tell you my world.
