Well, it's noon. Time for grandma's funeral. Also known as the worst time of my life. It's gonna be a struggle for me. But, at least I have Maya there for me. I walk into the room, seeing my grandma in her casket, trying to hold my tears.

"I love you grandma." I whisper, giving her a kiss on the forehead. A tear then came down and landed on her hand. I slowly walk to the front. As I sit down, more people came in. Some were friends of grandma, others were just there to support. Then came Riley, dad, and mom. They sat right beside me. I greet them with a small smile on my face. Then, I feel someone holding my hand. It was Maya.

"Hey." She says softly.

"Hey" I say softly back. The funeral then began to start.

"We have gathered here to celebrate the life of Amy Matthews. Is there anyone in the family who would like to say a few words?" I sit there silently. Maya taps my shoulder lightly.

"What?" I mouth.

"Go!" She mouths back as she signals me to go up there. I sigh silently.

"Anyone?"

"I'll go." I say.

"Alright, take as much time as you need."

"Thank you. Hi everyone, I'm Hailey Matthews, granddaughter of Amy. My grandma, was such an amazing person. She was kind, brave, smart, and the best person in the world to me. I-I just can't believe she's gone" I then break down into tears. Maya comes up and takes me back to my seat.

"Thank you Hailey. Is there anyone else?" The room went silent. When all of a sudden...

"I'll go." Everyone looks around figuring out who it was, when someone suddenly stood up. A young girl with blonde hair. I looked over at Maya so sighed silently. Something was going on, I could tell.

"Alright, the floor is yours."

"Thank you. Hi, my name is Liv. I'm not related to Amy, but I have seen her a couple of times. She was a really sweet and funny person. I know someone who's really close to me, who's friend was close to Amy. I just wanted to say, for her family, and for everyone here. Amy was an amazing person, and I'm here to support you all."

"Thank you Liv. Anyone else? No? Alright then, everyone please head to the cemetery for the burial. And please, if you may, say your final goodbyes." Final goodbyes? I can't do that!

"Hailey, come on. Let's go say goodbye."

"N-No! I can't! I can't say goodbye!" I said in tears.

"It'll be okay. I promise. Remember, she's always gonna be in our hearts."

"I guess you're right." We walked towards grandma's casket. Seeing her dead was hard for me, but it was time for me to say goodbye. "Goodbye Grandma." I whisper. I walk away with Maya. We then drive to the burial. Cars are starting to pull up, and everyone starts to walk to her headstone. Me and Maya sit in the front, along with the rest of the family.

"Family, friends, we are gathered here to send Amy down, and up to heaven. But before that, we must pray to both Amy and God." Everyone bows their heads down as the priest begins to pray. As soon as he finishes, I start to tear up. Knowing it was close to the end. Maya held my hand tightly.

"Hailey, it's time." She says softly. I nod my head, knowing that it was time. Time for grandma to get buried. The priest starts to bring her down. Then everyone starts leaving.
