New School, New Me

Chapter 7

When the bell rings I jump up and run out of the room with Dan hot on my heels.

"I am not letting you win this time!"

Dan is now running and laughing right next to me.  "What?  Did you not like my prize?" 

I speed up with a bright smile on my face and burst out of the school doors. I can see my car straight ahead and start taking longer strides until I reach my car.  Jumping up and down I do a satisfactory laugh.

"I guess I win this one, Daniel."  I do a smug smile as Dan jogs up to me obviously out of breath.

"Don't call me Daniel."  Dan gives me a sore frown.

"What's my prize?"  I smirk and bite down on my lip giving him a longing look.

Dan looks at me up and down before taking a step closer to me.  "You'll see when we get home."  

He was so close I could feel his breath on my face, and all I wanted to do was pull him closer and press my lips to his.  I nod and he nods back at me before sliding past me to get into the car.

Taking a second or two I catch my breath before getting into the car with the guy who could take my breath away with just one word.  God, I always want to feel like this.  Dan makes me feel so free and full of life, and I love him.  Yes I think I might actually love him.

I take a deep breath and build up my self confidence before getting into the car.  Dan looks over at me and I look at him with a grin on my face.

"What're you grinning for?"  Dan raises an eyebrow and smiles at me.

"Nothing inparticular."  I hold my chin up and begin to drive off to my apartment.

"Your random self confidence boost is such a turn on."  My eyes go wide in surprise for a second and I look over at Dan whose biting his lip.

"You're rather affectionate today, huh?"  Dan grins at my remark and looks out the window. 

"I guess you could say that."

I tap my fingers on the steering wheel with anticipation.  I just want to get home so we can do whatever it is that we're planning on doing.  I don't know why i'm so excited about this.  Usually I'd be freaking out at the thought of. Then again, we werent having sex yet so that's good.  

Taking in a deep breath I slowly turn into the parking lot to my apartment.

Dan gets out of the car with a big smile on his face and walks into the building and takes the lift.

He didn't even wait for me?  Rude.

I take a deep breath before getting out of the car and waiting for the lift to get back down.  Once the doors open I step in and awkwardly stand there and listen to the elevator music until the doors open.  I walk out into the hall and knock on the door.  I have a key, but I didn't feel like getting my keys out.

"Helooo?"  Dan calls through the door.

"Can you open the door, Dan?"  I shift my weight on one ide of my body and look up at the ceilling.

"I don't know.  Can I?"

"Dan!"  I groan and knock on the door loudly.

"Okay okay fine."  Dan opens the door with a sheepish grin on his face.  I slide past him. and go straight to the couch.

"Are you ready for your surprise, Phil?"  I take a deep breath and smile at his enthusiasm.

"Depends on what it is."
