"Cora." A soft voice calls next to me on my bed. The voice makes me want to open my eyes, but I'm so tired.
I squeeze my eyes shut and silently will him to leave my room and let me get back to my rest, but if course that would just be too simple.
"Please Cora?" He pleads very quietly and I can't help the smile that tugs at the corner of my lips as my eyelids slowly flutter open. "You're finally up, sleepy head." He grins at me with his shy smile that I've grown quite find of
"Not exactly by choice." I tease.
"Well you should start getting ready we have a big day ahead of us." He gently pats my knee before standing up and leaving the room. I don't like waking up in the mornings, but I almost feel like it wouldn't be so bad if it were Luke waking me up every morning .

"Luke, where are we going?" I whine for the hundredth time since he got me out of bed and dragged me into this damn van.
"Cora, patience is key." He sighs without looking over at me. His pale blue eyes narrowed at the road before him
"Can I have a hint?"
"No"
"Is it a long drive?"
"No, Cora, it isn't." He smirks as we finally pull into a parking lot and I look up to see we're at the aquarium.
"Oh, so you do listen when I talk?" I joke, but I can't help the huge grin that spreads across my face.
"Occasionally." Luke shrugs nonchalantly as he turns the car engine off and we both get out. I stick my tongue out at him playfully and he rolls his eyes at me with a light chuckle.
"Thank you, Luke this is very sweet of you." I smile up at him as we walk side by side to the front desk. I sneak a look down at his hand hanging down by his side and I want desperately to reach out and hold it, but I know that would be crossing a thin line since we've been dancing around the edges of it lately.
"No problem. I also thought I should come back and explain myself to the lady at the front desk if she's here again." His raspy voice calls me out of my thoughts and I feel my cheeks turn a light shade of pink, but then I stop to process what he just said. What the hell is he talking about?
"What are you talking about?" I voice my thought and then stop to stare at him.
"Don't worry about it." He swats his hand as though he's waving the thought away.
"Luke, what did you do?" I question more seriously. Narrowing my eyes at him and folding my arms across my chest.
"Nothing bad Cora. Damn, calm down." He frowns at me. "I just came in here yesterday looking for you when you ran off."
"What's the big deal about that then?" I ask more relaxed now that I know it was really nothing. I'm not really sure why he was making it a point to go and explain himself if that is the case though.
"I may or may not have looked like a complete idiot and have been freaking out a tad. She even looked worried. "Luke chuckles lightly and chews on his lower lip where his lip ring is.
"Aww, you were actually scared for me." I coo, bumping his shoulder as I start walking again towards the entrance and he quickly follows me.
"Of course I was Cora. I kinda thought you'd figure that I do care for you by now." He mutters blushing as he holds the door for me to go in.
A nervous lump forms in my throat and I'm not exactly sure what to say. I open my mouth to reply, but I let out a sigh of relief when I'm saved by the brunnette at the front.
