My stomach turns and my mouth goes dry at the sight before me.
I don't believe it.
I can't...
In the closet, tied up is an unconscious Lilly.
Her limp body slinks to the floor with a flop and tears well at the pit of my eyes.
Kendall looks at me and back at Lilly.
"Ya' know she kinda looks like you." he chuckles, not fully aware of the situation.
My knees buckle and I fall to the floor, the grip on my torch loosens and it drops to the ground with a thump.
I wince in pain but I can't move, my eyes still transfixed on Lilly.
"Lilly?" I whisper as a single tear caresses my face.
The drumming still echoing painfully in my ears, but there are more pressing matters on my mind.
Kendall turns to look at me and before I know it he is right by my side.
"Hey, hey what's wrong, eh?" His eyes now caring and nurturing.
"She... she...." I stutter before taking a deep breath.
"She's my sister."
His eyes widen with disbelief.
Her long tangled dirty blonde hair cover most of her beautiful innocent face, while a large peice of black tape is strapped across her mouth like a gag.
"It's okay Kiara, she'll be fine." he smiles softly before walking towards her.
He picks her up and carefully carries her towards me before gently placing her on the ground in front of me.
As a volcano if tears flood down my cheeks as I hug her.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry." I cry over her unconscious body.
Kendall awkwardly rubs my back for support.
I wipe the last tear from my eye and compose myself before gazing down at her body.
I untie her so she can relax.
Her stomach slowly rises up and back down.
"Did you see that! She is breathing!" I cried with excitement.
I ripped off the tape from her mouth.
"LILLY, LILLY!!" I scream at her but her eyes don't move.
I shook her violently as the banging continues.
"Kiara." Kendall's voice was calm "Kiara you need to stop." he plys my unwilling arms off her.
"Shes breathing!" I scream at him urgently, holding back tears.
"Kiara, we need to get out of here and then we can help your sister, or we may become just like her. " I know he is right but I have just found my long lost sister unconscious and now he wants me to leave her.
"Fine-" I sigh. "But we take her with us as soon as we get out of here okay?"
"Absolutely." he agrees.
The banging comes to an abrupt holt.
The silence consumes, filling the air with suspense.
I look to Kendall with worried eyes.
'Follow me' he mouths without a sound.
We silently tiptoe toward the door.
Lilly cradled in Kendall's arms.
