I wake up to a spinning head and a dazed expression.

I push myself up, and stumble to the side, my head throbbing with excruciating pain.

Kendall and Lilly are no where to be seen.

They must of gone outside.

I slowly make my way towards the makeshift entrance of our small cave, holding onto anything I can to keep me balanced.

A bright white light pierces my eyes.

I squint as my eyes adjust to the harsh sun.

Everything is still, silent... unsettling.

I move my eyes from left to right, searchinng for anything out of the ordinary.

Everything seems fine, except the turning in my stomach.

I take one weary step out.

"Hello?" I whisper shakely "is anyone-"

Suddenly the ground becomes alot closer to my face and a huge weight is placed on my back.

I groan in pain.

Low growling and grunting comes from the large weight on my back.

A long string of transparent saliva hangs down in front of my nose.

"KENDALL!!" I scream.

The weight shifts its movement causing me to yelp in pain again.

"LILLY!!" I cry.

I raise my head and am met with a wet snout.

I furrow my brows in confusion.

I push myself up gingerly to inspect the creature more when I realise it is a wolf.

And a friendly one at that.

It pushes its head into my chest and nudges it slightly.

Force of hobbit I start to pat it.

I look down to the wolf as I interwind my fingers with its snowy white fur.

There wedged between its teeth ware two shining dog tags splattered with fresh blood.

I cautiously ply them out off its teeth, but as soon as I read the name I dropped them, my blood ran cold as the information I had just received sunk in.

I was short of breath and I lost feeling in my hands.

There ingraved in the bloody dog tags was K. James.

The same K. James as Kendall.

I scream.

I sat up, a cold sweat formed on my forehead.

I was panting like a... wolf.

I look around on confusion, pleased to find Kendall and Lilly safe and sound, asleep on the ground next to me.

Still panting and now shivering I huddle up into a ball, the movement waking Kendall up.

He looks over at me, noticing my distraught state.

"Hey... what's wrong, you alright?" He moves closer to me and wraps a strong arm around my shoulders.

"Ju-just a bad dre-am." I shiver.

"Do you want or tell me about it?" He smiles down at me.

I stay silent.

"You know, it's good to tell people about your bad dreams, it's said that if you tell someone, it won't happen again." he explains she putting a soothing arm around my shoulder.

I twitch my lip and explain what happened.

**********

A misty dawn soon breaks and hazed light returns.

Kendall had stayed awake with me, sharing soothing words to keep me calm.

Soon enough Lilly is awake too and it is time to set out on our journey.

Lilly crawls out of the makeshift hut and my stomach growls a low hungry rumble.

I awkwardly half smile up at Kendall who's mouth twitches.

"We need food." he mumbles to himself before crawling outside too.

I crawl towards the entrance of the hut but fear roots me still.

The silence of outside causing a bubling surge of anxiety.

Kendall pops his head around the corner.

"Hey, you okay?" He smiles sympatheticly.

"Hmm." I mumble.

"Its alright, look we're fine, see?" Kendall reaches a strong arm out for me to take, I smile and crawl out myself.

*******

We had been wandering around the city aimlessly for 3 hours in search of food.

"I need a break." Lilly mumbles weakly.

"Yeah." I agree breathlessly.

Kendall doesn't say anything, just sits down next to me.

He rummages through his side satchel and claws out the same first aid kit.

"This isn't getting better Kiara, we need to keep good care of this from now on, okay?" He looks up ayt me waiting for my reply.

"We?" I repeat with a sour taste.

"Well if you haven't noticed already Princess, your stuck with me." he smirks before gently pealing off the loose bandage wrapped around my leg.

I tense and suck in a quick short breath as he takes it off.

Dry blood, tugging at my wound, pleading it go start bleeding again.

He places two fingers near the cut forcing me to move my leg away in pain.

"I'm just looking!" He replys defencivly.

I relax my leg again, but watch him atentivly.

I watch intently as he inspects my wound.

"Juding my what I can see it doesn't look too deep, it should heal up enough in a few weeks." he mumbles sleepily, the effects of no food and lack of water, taking their toll on all of us, worst of all Lilly.

"So can I take the bandage off now, it's hot and itchy." I complain childishly.

"No." he says firmly. "if this was a few years back I would of said that fresh air would be good for it but, now... you can't risk getting saliva or anything in it, okay? Keep it tightly covered alright?" He stares into my eyes intmidatingly.

"Fine." I huff, resting my head on his shoulder for a pillow.

Soon enough the sweet release of sleep compels me towards it.
