After class had let up Luna and I left for lunch.

On our way there I couldn't help but feel a sense of awkwardness in the air.

I kept on looking at Luna and my face would turn bright red; I tried to keep my distance but she would quickly close the space.

"Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me?" She asked I could see an apologetic look in her eyes.

"Not exactly it's just....That whole scene in Spanish." I said staring blankly at my sneakers.

"What about it? Everyone seemed to love It."

"That's kind of the problem. . . You can't just randomly plant a kiss on someone like that."

"But Cal it wasn't random it was part of the script. I thought you knew."

"Sorry I am bad at understanding Spanish but I can speak it."

"Oh maybe I could tutor you."

"That sounds nice; wait before we get off topic please tell me what we are going to do before we do it."

I saw Luna about to speak, she was interrupted by the sound of trampling feet. The floor started to vibrate as if there was a minor earthquake.

A dust cloud was approaching us at full speed. I saw the panicked expression on Luna's face.

"What the heck is going on!?" She asked both alarmed and curious.

"It's lunch time. . ." I shouted.

I was able to see silhouettes of the students, there must have been at least three-hundred of them.

I quickly grabbed Luna's hand and as if by instinct started to run as fast as I could, unfortunately Luna couldn't keep up with my pace.

She skipped a step and injured her ankle; she tried to get back up and walk but a pained expression would cross her face each time she would try.

"Go without me. . ." She pleaded

"I will see you at lunch"

I exchanged looks with Luna and the door to the lunch room, the students were approaching faster and faster.

"It can't be helped."

I looked one last time at the lunch door and then I ran to Luna.

I lowered myself to her level, turned around and positioned my arms to my back; I had a feeling Luna was confused about what to do so I said.

"Hop on. I will give you a ride to the Cafeteria."

She climbed onto my back and I ran as fast as I could, zipping down the hallways and stairs.

We made it safely into the cafeteria; we were the first people there.

I went over to a table that I knew didn't belong to anyone and I left Luna there.

"Stay here I will be right back."

I went to the once empty lunch line and saw it was flooded with a sea of people, lowering my head in despair. I looked for people I knew so I could cut in.

My friends had been scattered all over the line.

Every time the line would move a step I would come face to face with a new person, eventually I reached the end and went to sit with Luna.

"I knew you couldn't exactly walk, so I got you a salad and if you want you can have my wrap, it doesn't have meat in it, just some lettuce, tomatoes, some oil and et cetera." I told her as I sat down I gave her my entire tray.

I wasn't exactly happy about skipping lunch, but seeing her face light up like that helped me forget about how hungry I was.

My stomach rumbled I saw Luna had heard it and I smiled embarrassed.

She laughed a little then gave me half of her wrap. We both ate our meals in peace and had a good time.

I saw a junior approaching our table, his brown hair was covering his face, and he banged on our table.

"Sup freshmen" I knew that voice was Zach.

He looked at us both and smiled.

"Oh so the rumours are true about you two love birds."

As if on cue, me and Luna both spit out our chocolate milk.

"What rumours!?" I demanded to know.

"Chill Cal, they aren't about you, well both of you, well not directly anyway." Zach said, he took a seat across from us.

"They say last block some mysterious girl that appeared from nowhere and kissed this random freshman in Spanish. I had a hunch it might have been you two. And you just confirmed it."

"Wow word spreads around fast" Luna said amazed.

"Welcome to my world." I replied bitterly.

"I guess we should be glad they don't know our names and didn't exaggerate the details." Luna had shaken her head in agreement.

"Well. . . Actually. . ." Zach started to say but got cut off by the class bell signalling the end of lunch.

I tried to hear the rest but the students were too loud and I got pulled in by the current of the people.
