After World History let up and we went to home room, the girl and I walked to English.
I saw Luna sitting there so I sat in the desk right next to her.
"So you're in this class too?"
She shook her head; I noticed something was off about her.
"Are you okay?"
She shook her head again.
"Is there a reason you won't talk to me?"
She shook her head yet again.
Luna wrote something in her notebook and showed it to me it said: We are being watched.
"By who?" I said to her checking the area.
I was only looking from the corner of my eyes, nothing seemed weird or out of place.
Since she did mention it I kind of felt as if I was being stared at.
Luna wrote - Her! She drew an arrow pointing at the person.
I followed the arrow and saw that it pointed to that girl I was forced to be with.
"You can talk.... She is just some girl that I have to watch over."
"Are you sure Cal? I feel like she is giving off more of a creepy stalker type vibe."
"What was that?" The girl said gritting her teeth together.
She somehow managed to sneak up on me in an instant; she was holding her binder tightly, poised to hit me.
"Nothing!" I replied cracking a nervous smile, and then Luna started laughing awkwardly.
"Who is this?" She said, taking a seat across from Luna.
"This is-" I started to say, but Luna had quickly silenced me.
"I am Luna." Luna said smiling kindly.
"Hmmm, how do you know this perv?" The girl asked Luna questioningly.
"I know Calub, because we have both Spanish and English together. I also tutor him at his house." Luna said, making it seem as obvious as day.
"If I were you I would watch out for him, he might just violate you, like he did to me." The girl warned Luna.
Luna turned to me with anger in her eyes and a hint of hurt.
"Calub.... You violated this little girl?"
"No I swear I didn't." I said as convincingly as I could.
I felt like I wasn't sure of myself.
"OBJECTION! I don't believe a word he is saying." The girl said slamming both her hands on the table and standing over me.
"Objection?" I repeated to myself, the word rang in my head.
"Wait a sec. . . " I said processing my thought.
"This is AMERICA." I said jumping up from my seat and making direct eye contact with the girl.
"I have the right to a speedy trial."
It suddenly grew silent as Luna and the girl exchanged confused looks.
"GUILTY!" Said a voice booming... As they slammed something hard against a wooden table.
I looked to see who it was and it was Yadi and she was welding a gavel, she was dressed like a lawyer she was wearing a dark gray vest, a white blouse, and a black skirt. She was also wearing glasses and had her hair tied neatly behind her.
"Yadi? Since when do you go to this class?" I asked completely lost about what was going on.
"I don't, I just like going around yelling Guilty and slamming this hammer thingy. Who knew I would actually find a case? From the look of things, I hit the nail on the head." Yadi said matter of faculty.
"Good enough for me." The girl said advancing toward me with her binder raised in to the air.
From the look of it, it was the physics binder filled with several packets just filled with thousands of page of excruciating knowledge. I looked to Luna for help but she just looked at me and then turned her back.
"Wait," I said raising my hand to stop her.
"I also have the right to an attorney."
The girl looked at Yadi, Yadi shook her head and the girl lowered her guard.
"So Calub who will you be having representing you?" Yadi asked sounding professional.
This was something important; I needed someone who had my back. Someone I could trust....But whom?
"I will be his attorney" Zach said bursting though the door.
Wearing a black suit, his tie tied properly and he had a suit case to. Zach he was perfect for this.
I was saved......
"Do you have any evidence, any witnesses, or anything at all?" Yadi questioned Zach; he shook his head no to every single one of the questions.
"Then may I ask, how you plan on defending Calub?"
"I plan on getting by on charm." Zach said fixing his messy hair.
"So how am I doing?" Zach said flashing his pearly whites.
Yadi didn't reply, she was far too distracted by Zach's apperance to speak. Zach turned to me,
"Quick, run while she is distracted."
I looked, checking the surroundings then left.
"Where do you think you're going?" The girl said clearly talking to me.
I said nothing backing away slowly my hands raised out in front of me.
She charged at me like a football player.
I broke out into a run and made my way to the exit and swung the door open. I heard a loud thud and saw on the other side of the door.
It was my English teacher lying on the floor disoriented.
I helped her up and she got knocked down again by getting hit in the face with the girl's physics binder.
She looked at us both and only said one word... "Detention."
