The Jutsu That Can't Reach You

Encounter Part 2

It was already dark. Tobirama and Maya's sorroundings are only being lighted by the bonfire in front of them, fishes are also being cooked in the fire. At Tobirama's right is Maya who was busy healing his right arm.

Tobirama turned to her, seeing her serious face as she concentrates on his arm, “You really are an idiot.”

Maya turned to him, “Huh?”

“You didn't even think that I might attack you.”

Maya smiled, “I am an idiot. Well, we have to survive that's why. I proposed to you that I will heal you because I can't fight, if ever the enemy appeared, we have to help each other to survive. You clearly have the upper hand here, I'm not a fighter, and any suspicious act of mine you can put me down.”

“Fine.” He said.

Tobirama turned to look at the starry sky. Then suddenly he got alarmed. He stood up.

“T-Tobirama-san? What's wrong?” Asked by Maya as she also stood up.

“Enemies.” Tobirama said as he looks around.

Then they turned to their back where they heard someone clapping. “Well, well, aren't the two of you so sweet?” It was Kenichi Shimura, together with some five men.

“S-Shimura!” Maya exclaimed. Tobirama stepped in front of her.

“Stay behind me.”

The five men jumped down and faced Tobirama and Maya. Tobirama prepared a kunai in his hand.

“Today, we'll make sure to end the mighty Senju as well as the Clan of Beasts, Kemonomata and steal your forbidden jutsu.”

“So you wanted our forbidden jutsu all along? That was your goal?” Maya asked angrily.

“Of course. The forbidden jutsu to control the tailed beasts! Your clan got that, don't you?” Kenichi grinned.

“T-tailed beasts? I don't know what you're talking about!” Maya exclaimed.

“Well, it doesn't matter whether you knew or not. We'll end you here.”

The five Shimura started weaving signs. They spurted different elements from their mouth towards Tobirama and Maya.

“Water Style: Water Encampment Wall!” A strong current of water was blown out by Tobirama and created a wall to protect them.

Afterwards the wall of water disappeared and Tobirama charged towards them alone. Fighting with various swords, exchanging taijutsu and ninjutsu.

Maya felt heavy as she know she might have just become a hindrance to Tobirama. He has five strong enemies and he's alone. She knew she has to do something but she lacks chakra as it was way too drained when she summoned Katsuyu, she was actually pretty lucky she didn't die when she used Long Distance Healing but now she's wondering whether she would survive or not.

But she knew she shouldn't waver.

All of a suddenly two enemy shinobi appeared behind her and was about to stab her with a kunai.

Tobirama turned to her, “Hey!”

She turned her body sideways in between the two shinobi. Her expertise is medical ninjutsu and currently is the only thing she can use to fight. She accumulated her remaining chakra in her hand and chop off the joints of the two shinobi, and the two shouted in pain.

The two shinobi held their arms as they glared at Maya. They seemed to not able to move their arm. “Y-you...what did you do?”

“I paralysed your arms temporarily.”

How long can I last? She wondered. Do I have enough chakra to summon?

“You bastard!” The two bit their thumbs and opened a scroll, summoned hundreds of shuriken that they threw to Maya.

“Ninja Art: Reversal Summoning!” Maya shouted and disappeared into thin air.

“Where's that bitch?”

“Above you!” Shouted by Kenichi to them that made them stare above. Maya was already holding a sword and was about to strike the two. The other one got away while the other one was stabbed on his right shoulder down to the chest that severely damaged his right lung.

“D-damn it! Where did she came from??”

“Reversal Summoning!” Maya shouted again when she slapped her hand to the ground. The remaining enemy of hers turned and turned to see where she is until she suddenly appeared behind him and stabbed him fast on a vital organ.

“H-how did you...?” The man muttered before lying down.

“Damn it! What happened to those two??” Kenichi shouted. He and his subordinates are standing on the ocean water now as he stared at Maya who now defeated her two enemies on the sand. “Shoudn't that woman wasn't able to fight??”

“You shouldn't let your guard down.” Tobirama muttered then arms of water suddenly appeared and pulled his other two subordinates underneath the water. Kenichi now panicked. He started running away from the water but was stabbed by a strong current of water from underneath.

It was Tobirama's Severing Wave.

“I didn't know they were that weak.” Tobirama said as he crossed his arms, staring to the three remaining Shimura who's alive now tied together, Maya on the other hand, had killed her two enemies. Maya looked sad as she stares at the dead two who's lying at the sand side by side.

“What's the matter?” Tobirama asked her as he noticed her sad face.

“I killed them. I am a Medical Ninja. I exist to  heal, not to kill.”

Tobirama turned to the three unconscious Shimura. “You only did what you have to do to survive.”

She looked at him, not expecting him to comfort her like that.

“That's right. I thought you said you are not a fighter?” Tobirama asked.

“I know a thing or two about some martial arts. Only a little. What I used in the fight is my knowledge in medical ninjutsu, like the organ's location to stab them.”

“By the way, are those Water Release Jutsu your original?” Now its Maya asking Tobirama.

“Yeah.”

“Wow, you can create your own jutsu?”

“I'm studying plenty other jutsu to improve myself and create new ones.” He answered, “By the way, the Reversal Summoning you used, its an original of your clan right?”

“Yes, that's right. It can summon me into the place where my summoning animal resides. I can go into hiding there or whatnot.”

“So that explains why you disappeared. How about when you reappeared?”

“I summoned a very small Katsuyu, the small slug. She was very small about the size of my thumb so she can't be seen very well. She's the one who summoned me back.”

“So its like a Teleportation Jutsu?”

“I...guess it is.”

Tobirama stared at her, like he was thinking something very deep.

“Is there something wrong?”

“Tobirama!” They got interrupted when Hashirama called to his brother. He ran together with the other Senju guys at his back. Suddenly, the island faded and they were brought back to the forest.

“W-what happened?” Maya asked.

“I assume the genjutsu wore off.” Tobirama answered her. Tobirama turned to his right where his brother is.

“Big sister!” Maki called to Maya who was running to their left. “Are you alright?”

Both Senju and Kemonomata got alarmed when they saw each other and prepared to fight.

“M-Maki...I'm okay.”

Will we fight again? Maya thought.
