The Senju Brothers

“Katsuyu, we’ll do Long Distance Healing!”

“But Maya-chan, your chakra reserves are not enough to—“

“It’s okay! Sip every last bit of my life force to serve as a chakra! I don’t mind! Just please…just please…” I pleaded, “Just save my clansmen.”

“I understand.”

We won’t die here. I won’t let us end here, you damned Senju. I started weaving the sign of ram and my chakra started circulating towards Katsuyu. She started breaking into smaller portions of her self and started going out of the cave until the Katsuyu left with me is just a smaller portion of her huge self a while ago.

Damn it. I’m losing almost all of my chakra, now my life force is being sucked. My breathing is becoming slow and my chest feels heavy. It also feels like I’m gonna lose consciousness. So this is how it feels when you slowly gave your life as chakra? It feels like I’m dying slowly.

I wanted to save everyone, but most importantly, I wanted to save my little brother. At the young age of seven he was already put on the frontlines to fight, even until now he’s out there, battling. Why? Why should we fight endlessly like this? Why should the young be sent out to die like this? No, I won’t let my brother die.

As Katsuyu is slowly getting on the various shinobi of my clan, I tried finding my younger brother through Katsuyu. I have been sensing most members of my clan through Katsuyu but I can’t find Maki, my younger brother. I was already losing hope and was about to cry when I suddenly felt his chakra via Katsuyu. I felt relieved but I sensed that his chakra is already weak. I began healing all of my clansmen.

Third Person’s POV:

Swords are violently clashing, various jutsus are being exchanged, shouts can be heard, explosions can make you deaf, but amongst it all, it was obviously seen that the Kemonomata Clan are about to lose. Casualty after casualty are occuring as they try to survive through the mighty Senju.

Among those shinobi of Kemonomata was Maki Kemonomata, who is now kneeling and is heavily injured, his chakra is also mostly drained. He just glared in front of his two strong unexpectedly enemies: Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju.

Maki gritted his teeth in anger. In front of him is Tobirama Senju, who currently holds a katana in his right hand and is preparing to strike a blow. A step further from Tobirama was Hashirama Senju, who was looking with a worried face towards the young Maki.

“Young kid, I am very sorry to say but we need to end your life here.” Tobirama said with a stern face as he lifted up his right hand to prepare to end Maki, but was interrupted by Hashirama.

“Wait! Tobirama!” Hashirama said as he held the right arm of his younger brother to stop his attack, “Can’t you see he’s just a child?”

“Big brother, you know very well that allowing to live even a stripling like him will create further chaos. Furthermore the person you saved today might very well stab you tomorrow, don’t you understand that?” Tobirama said, his tone rising.

“But Tobirama, I…I remember from this kid…Itama and Kawarama. Don’t you see their situation in this kid also? You know it very well, the pain of losing your younger siblings.”

Tobirama just silently glared at his older brother.

“I-I am not a kid!” Exclaimed by Maki, “I-I willl defeat you here and protect my clan!” He shouted and suddenly a small slug on the size of his arm crawled up to his shoulder to his surprise, “Y-you are…Katsuyu!”

The Senju brothers seemed to be surprised as well, and jumped a step further to prepare themselves to fight upon Katsuyu’s appearance.

“Reinforcements?” Tobirama said.

“A slug?” Hashirama followed.

“Your sister summoned me here to heal everyone in your clan.” Katsuyu said to Maki.

“Is this…Long Distance Healing? But isn’t my sister supposed to not able to perform this jutsu?”

“She…had used her life force to use this jutsu, to protect you and everyone. That’s why you should go back alive and win here, Maki-kun.” Katsuyu said. With her words and her healing, Maki slowly stood up, determined, “Big sister…I will…not let your effort go to waste!” Maki shouted as he glared at the Senju brothers.

Maki bit his right thumb and slapped his hand on the ground, “Ninja Art: Multiple Summonings!” Upon his call three huge beasts, way larger than the trees appeared: A big toad carrying a shield and a sword, a big leopard, and a big snake with a sword on its mouth. Atop the toad was Maki standing.

Tobirama and Hashirama was astonished but what astonished them more are the other clan members, who, like Maki was revived and looks fully determined to fight. They all launched the specialized hidden jutsu of their clan: The Summoning Jutsu.

“The Summoning Jutsu huh? Said to be the specialty of the Kemonomata. They are said to be able to summon multiple different kinds of animals at once, contradict to the usual one type of animal only, hence giving them multiple options to attack. Damn it.” Then he turned to Hashirama, “This is why I told you to finish the brat a while ago!”

“You know I can’t Tobirama.” Hashirama replied as he prepares a jutsu to counter. “The young ones shoudn’t be killed and sent to the battlefield like this.”

Tobirama just sighed, he emphatizes with his brother but understand very well that they are in the middle of a fight. He turned to look at Maki again. “A summoned slug that can heal huh? I have already tracked down the chakra of the user of this jutsu. If we kill him down the morale and strength of the enemy might be lessened. Should I go, Big Brother?”

Hashirama stayed silent for a while, then said, “Very well, but don’t kill the jutsu user.”

“Big Brother!” Tobirama shouted in annoyance, “Tsk! Fine!” He shouted and jumped to leave but was blocked by a giant snake.

“I won’t let you hurt Big Sister!” The toad below Maki blowed an acid from its mouth towards Tobirama.

Tobirama weaved a sign fast, “Water Style: Severing Wave!” Tobirama blurted a strong water current from his mouth to counter the acid. He gritted his teeth in annoyance, “How long should we fight like this?”
