The Jutsu That Can't Reach You

With The Senju Clan

A smiling morning greeted Maya and the Senju Clan as they prepared to travel back to the Senju Clan's territory. Maya was busy sending her farewells on her family and friends at the exit of the village as the Senju Clan awaits her and prepares for departure.

“Maya, after coming back here I would be expecting you'd be bringing me my grandchild either from those two.” Her mother told her strictly as her mother stares at Hashirama and Tobirama.

“Mother!!” She said to her mother, trying to stop from whatever joke she is saying.

“It would be better if its a boy though.” Her father added, smiling widely.

“Father not you too!!”

“It would be better if you ended with Hashirama-san though,” said by Maki, “That guy's a lot kinder compared to that grumpy Tobirama who doesn't seem to know how to smile.”

“Maki that's rude!!”

“Although that Tobirama seems to be more handsome.” Mako, Maya's younger sister added, “Oh, and if you'll go home with your child I'd rather want a niece than a nephew.”

“No a grandson is better!” Insisted by Maya's mother. Her father nodded in agreement.

“I wouldn't mind anyways.” Maki followed.

“Would you guys stop acting like a baby can just be ordered like a food in a restaurant?” Maya hissed at her family, but they just grinned at her widely in response. She just sighed, “Okay I'm leaving.”

Before she left, her mother held her hand, “Maya, do not forget to be hospitable to them. Do all work possible. You have to show them you are useful and respectable.”

“Yes mother.”

“And if something bad happens...”

“Yes, of course I know.” She smiled.

“Always remember to save--”

“A small amount of chakra to escape if something bad happens, yes I know mother.”

Her father patted her on her shoulders, she smiled in response.

”Don't forget to bring back gifts to us.” Her siblings claimed.

“Oh yes, yes I know.” She said, then she smiled at them, “I'll miss you guys. Don't worry I'll visit you often.”

She started lifting her bags and then walked away.

“Don't be a hindrance to them!”

“Yes mother,” she answered as she lifted her right hand as a goodbye. She walked towards Hashirama and Tobirama, dressed in their armors, waiting patiently for her. She on the other hand is wearing a red kimono with some floral designs on the chest and a plain gray hakama.

“That's a rather cheerful family for you.” Said by Hashirama to her.

“I-I'm glad they are.” Maya said as she blushed remembering the embarrassing things her family said.

“Has anyone died on your family?” Tobirama asked in his usual tone, directly asking what he's always curious of, crossing his arms over his chest like he's analysing everything around him.

“Fortunately no one. And I'm praying so much for it not to happen.” She answered as she was a bit startled by his question.

“Now, now Tobirama you shouldn't ask Maya those kind of questions.” Hashirama told his brother. “Should we go now?”

“Yes, thank you.” Maya answered.

What crossed her mind after Tobirama's question was the probability that he and Hashirama had already lost plenty important people in their lives in the war. It saddened her a bit but decided to move on.

After a day of travelling, the night covered the sky black with some shining stars in it. The Senju Clan decided to sleep in a forest for the night. Maya thought they're going to sleep on the cold grass but was amazed when Hashirama used his Wood Style to create a mansion. The Senju Clan composed of half a hundred people would certainly fit inside.

The shinobis started going inside and Maya was left outside with her mouth hanging open.

'With this, you can make millions!' She thought.

Tobirama stood with her as they looked up at the mansion, “That's right. This is the first time you'll be seeing my brother use his Wood Release, right?”

Maya just nodded in amazement.

“Hey, you two!! Go inside now or you'll freeze here!” Hashirama shouted at the two of them and so they walked inside.

Maya was even amazed by the interior. It was exactly how the insides of castles she and her mother sometimes visit for work looked like.

“Maya, let's hurry inside.” Hashirama told her. She walked with him until they entered a large room where a portion of their clan is already preparing to sleep. At the corners of the room was candles sticking out of the walls and lighted that give light to the room.

“T-this is amazing, Hashirama-san.”

“You think? Well...this is a piece of cake.” Hashirama replied laughing proudly.

“Don't be too full of yourself, Big Brother.” Tobirama said as he passed the two. And sat just near the door, dropping his bag.

“I-I'm not!” Hashirama replied while blushing.

“Showing off in front of a woman is what exactly you'll do.” Tobirama said as-a-matter-of-fact.

“I-I said I'm not!”

Maya giggled lightly at the sight of the two. 'Oh, how cute these two are.' She thought as she observe their small argument.

She then sat at Tobirama's left and then Hashirama at her left, while pouting. She felt a little awkward sleeping with a bunch of guys but just thought that she had done this couple of times during some missions.

After a while, their group wasn't still sleeping. Everyone was busy chattering and Maya was still awake, observing everyone. Hashirama is so loud chattering with the others as well, making her conclude that Hashirama is more of an extrovert while his brother, who just silently sat beside her, is more of an introvert.

“Maya!” Hashirama suddenly called out to her cheerfully. “You shouldn't sulk with my boring brother here.” He said and pulled her up, Tobirama glared at him. “Come here! I'll introduce you to everyone!”

“Eh? Ah-y-yes.” She turned a last glance to Tobirama who's eyes are closed and was just sitting silently, then to the group of guys now sorrounding her.

“Everyone! You probably know this pretty lady but to introduce her more properly, her name is Maya Kemonomata. Your age again?” Hashirama said then turned to Maya to get her age.

“T-twenty-two.”

“Twenty-two! She is currently Tobirama's student.” He added.

“N-nice to meet everyone.” She forced a smile. Why ask my age? She thought.

“Maya-san, are you married?” Ask by a certain guy. “Oh my name by the way is Kenma.”

“N-no, I'm not.” She replied awkwardly.

“Don't hit on her!” Hissed by another guy who introduced himself too before asking another question, “Then you have a boyfriend?”

“You're doing the same thing!” Everyone shouted.

“I-I don't have any.”

All guys was a bit amazed, “You don't have anyone special to you now?”

“No one.” She answered shyly.

“Heh, really? And you're in the age to marry too.”

“I'm not yet interested, I think.”

“Aw...” Everyone muttered in shame.

After some questioning everyone decided to sleep. The candles are blown out of fire and everyone lied down. Maya is now lying on a futon then she turned towards Tobirama, who's back is shown to her.

She smiled. I never know the Senju can be this welcoming.
