Slowly the day went on, I went from German to Art then English and the rest of the day went on. After school I headed to Papadoms, Caitlin didn't have a shift tonight and so she was meeting up with Michael for frozen yogurt after school. The work shift went by, it was crazy busy and I was running around all over, due to us being under staff tonight. When work was over I poured myself a glass of ice water and leaned against the counter waiting to go home. I slowly drank my water and as I was finishing Caitlin came in, with a frozen yogurt container filled to the rim with what I could make out as Pumpkin with gummy bears spread across the top, my favorite. She headed over towards me and held out the spoon and yogurt with a smile.
"You're the best. You have no idea how you just made my day." She laughed as I said it.
"Just eat your yogurt." I smiled and said bye to my coworkers and we headed out the door to the walk home that we knew by heart.
"How was your frozen yogurt date with Mike?"
"It was good, we got our usuals and we went for a walk around town, just really nice." She had a smile as she recollected her date. I loved seeing her this happy, it was great to see her this way, she's always been that timid shy introvert, and Michael brings her out of her shell.
"That's great, I'm glad. You two are truly perfect together." She smiled, and looked down at the ground. I took a scoop of my frozen yogurt as we came up the street to our houses. The yellow street lights making a path to our houses.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow." Caitlin said and she turned back to go inside her house. I headed back home, going inside greeting my pups I went to my room after I finished my last bite of the pumpkin flavored yogurt. I shuffled over to my room, grabbing my towel I headed to get a shower in extreme heat after the cold treat I had finished.
Curled up in a blanket off my bed, I found myself looking at the pink roses on my bureau, the vibrant pink, bright compared to the dullness of my room, and that was the last thing I saw due to sleep overcoming me.
Tuesday morning I started getting dressed for school, and grabbed a cup of tea on my way out of the house, to find Luke standing there with a smile on his face.
"What're you doing here?" I questioned him, a smirk on my face that I couldn't hold back.
"Well, Michael and I thought we'd walk you lovely ladies to school today." He said this with a big smile on his face, reminding me of when we were in our second year of school, he had blond shaggy hair, blue eyes and his gapped tooth smile.
"Well I thank you for the company." I said and curtseyed with my atrocious skirt. He laughed and bowed.
"Ms.Isabelle." Holding out his arm for me to take I took in how he looked at the moment. His eyes were popping with the grey cut off t shirt he had on, the black jeans and red vans he had on. Caitlin and Michael were already walking down the road far ahead of us, the only way I could tell it was Michael was because of the hair.
"I don't want to go to school today" I whined. Luke smiled at my complaint.
"If it makes you feel better, I go through the same torture, except my mom is my teacher for every class." He finished between a laugh. We continued down the street until we came to the dreadful building. "Want to meet up later at the Smoothie Cafe?"
"That sounds like a plan." I answered and turned to the building, going to the torturous place.
The whole day dragged on and lunch seemed to be too fast compared to how long my classes were. Caitlin and I didn't have many friends, it was pretty much just us and we would eat in the art room, due to my closeness with the art teachers. The school day was finished and I pulled my hair up, then took off my blazer, as it was the end of the day and I was just going to see Luke to go get smoothies.
