The events of what just happened replay in my mind as I head to my car. I go inside the driver's side and then sit down. I close the door. Buckle up. And put the key in the ignition.

I smell my clothes which now smell like smoke. How am I suppose to hide this from my family? What am I suppose to say?

Oh you know I have just gained into peer pressure but it was from a hot guy so you should forgive me right away.

I turn the key but the car doesn't start. Instead it makes a sputter sound and dies.

I bang my head on the steering wheel and try again.

Sputter and dies.

I get out, shut the door, and then furrow my eyebrows as I see Eli's car is still in the parking lot. Our cars are practially the only ones in the parking lot by this point.

I look all around me and then walk to the car. I almost regret it already. I go the driver's side and see him in it. He is staring ahead and one of his hands are on the steering wheel.

I gulp and then lick my bottom lip. I hesitantly knock on the door and he snaps his head at me. He is a good actor as I knew he could sense me here.

He rolls down the window, "can I help you?" He says rudely.

I almost want to turn back. Forget it Madetlyn. He ain't worth it. Turn around when you still have the chance.

I bite my lip and then look at any other direction but him, "uh my car won't start," I murmur.

I look at him finally and I see a blank expression on his face, "and what am I suppose to do? Help you?"

I am so done with this. He can't play this game on me. He wont play this game with me. "I don't have any way to get home."

He smirks and then I see him look at my shoes. As if saying: walk why dont you?

These shoes are made for walking and that's what they'll do. But not today, princess.

"Okay," he replies, "hop in."

You don't want to do it Maddi. I am warning you.

His words replay in my mind for a second.

I shut them then put and then go around to the passenger door. I open it and slide in. I try to find the seatbelt but it isn't there. I look at him in confusion.

He laughs, "what are you looking at me like that for?" He asks and then back up with his car from the parking lot.

"The seatbelt is gone?" I trail off being more of a statement than a question.

"Yeah so?" He says and then spins off from the parkinglot. He goes fast

"Uh it's not safe, " I say and hold back in the seat a little as I feel overwhelmed.

"Live a little Harper. Jesus Christ, " he spats out and goes faster.

Can he at least slow down?

"Where are we going?" I ask and he looks over at me for a split second.

"What you don't know. We are going home."

I didn't tell him where I lived. I didn't tell him where I am going.

"Ugh," I trail off but then continue, "no you see I want you to take me to my house. Please."

"I told you Maddi. I told you, " he says with a faint whisper, "I told you not to go around me and here we are."
