SORRY IT HAS BEEN WAY TO LONG.

Chapter Eight

The morning came before I knew it. I didn't even close my eyes once because all I was thinking about was Eli. His words. If I was riding with him I wouldn't be doing this. I wouldn't be worrying. He seems so laid back. Do whatever he wants. That's what I wanted in life.

To not worry about what others wanted from me but care about what I wanted.

The alarm goes off and I push it away from the stand. It hits the floor and I groan as i get myself out of the bed.

I go to the bathroom mirror and I can tell I smell like death so I turn on the shower.

After my shower, I get my make up kit  out and hear a horn going off in the driveway.

I roll my eyes and start to apply my eyeshadow. I get a good crease going so I do the same with my other one really quick. It wasn't perfect but it did the job.

More honking. I get the mascara on fast and close the makeup kit I jog downstairs and make a halt as I see my mother has opened the door.  I stop at the last step and make eye contact with him. Eli Stevenson has those eyes you can't stop looking into so I stepped down.

"Hey," I say and then break it off, "bye mom I will see you later.i have a shift after school."

"Again?" She asks and the groans, "Okay you're working up that is good at least."

When I turn to Eli fully and grab his arm my mother chuckles, "well aren't your going to introduce me to your friend."

I start to say, "that won't be-"

"Its Elijah, "Eli passes me off to shake my mother's hand, "Elijah Stevenson. I am sorry I didn't say who I was and just asked for Madetlyn"

My mother looks impressed and I walk out of the door, "come on we should get going. We all know you never like to be late."

"I came here early because-"

I know Eli is just being polite to my mother to get underneath my skin somehow. I pull his arm with my hand and make him come.

He ways to my mother sorry mrs Harper it was lovely meeting   You

You The doors close and and make my way to his car in the driveway he chuckles as he unlocks it and I open the passenger door really fast.

The doors is closed and and i make my way to his car in the driveway. He chuckles as he unlocks it and I open the passenger door really fast.

"Well Jesus it's my first time picking up and i already have met your mother."

I roll my eyes and then get in the car.

He follows and then turns the ignition. I almost turned to put on my seat belt by forget he doesn't have any.

"So? How was your night?"  he turns to me and then cocks a grin that I want to smack from him.

"It was fine."

He nods then backs the car up from the driveway he turns off the road and then asks "so you're not going ask me how my night went?"

"Do you think you would say it was terrible even if it was?" I stare out of the window but I feel eyes on me. He is probably giving the big grin too.

"You know you think you're being annoyed when you say that but I find it quite hot."

I turn my head to him,"why?"

"Nothing else turns me on when a girl doesn't want to ask how my day was."

"What else would she want to know?"

"When we are able to just fuck,"  He turns on the highway and I can't help but smack his arm.

"I'm kidding!" he looks from the road to me for a second ,"a little."

He is hopeless.

We get to the school early and I raise my eyebrows at him, "what are we doing here so early?"

"What? You think I was going to take you to Always Grounded?" He gets a toolbox from the back, "I am going to fix that car of yours for one ride so i can take it to your house tonight."

"Work?" I raise my hands in the air. It's like he didn't hear the small talk I had with my mother.

"I will drop it off and a buddy of mine will drive my car. The case is settled."

I get out of the car and then smile at him as he makes his way to the car. To my car. No one has ever wanted to fix something of mine. Not even Dad.

He gets to my car and pops the hood. He laughs then puts his toolbox on the ground, "when was the last time you done maintenance on this, Jesus."

I shrug my shoulders and put my hand in the back of my neck, "I don't know. I think LeAnn looked at it when we got it together but other than that I don't think we have done anything."

He looks over at me with the slightest of a grin and nods, "that is your problem. I think i have a lot more I need to do on this than the regular easy job."

He fumbles under the hood as I stand there awkwardly and uncomfortably because this guy just told me I need to do more on my car.

"Just as I suspected. You need an oil change and your fan belts are going out. I need to fix a few other things here and there. After school I'm going back home and then getting the supplies I need," he closes the hood and the turns his head up as his grin grows, "lucky for you I have everything there."

He grabs his toolbox from the ground and puts it back into the car. He turns to me and then purses his lips, "you know Mads-"

"Maddi," I correct him. This guy doesn't know me enough to start calling me that. No matter how much my heart wants to say.

"Maddi," he pauses and then continues after I not, "look I'm not trying to start anything or make you mad in anyway. If i seem like I am doing so I apologize."

I cross my arms and smile small, "look it's fine. We just started off on the wrong foot."

He puts his hands in his pockets of his dark jeans and leans on the car, "I agree."

We stand there.  He was leaning on the car and I was looking at him. I probably seemed to be a weirdo. A creep. Looking at this guy and not having any permission to stare.

How could I not though. His eyes were beautiful. The way his new line connected to his chin. The small yet light hair there. His lips. The way they part whenever they talk. I like to kiss them when I do because you can't tell how soft they are until you kiss them. What he does with his-

"Do you think you want to?"

He was talking to me and I didn't know if. J instantly blush and hope he wasn't talking to me for to long.

"Want to get out of here? We can go exploring before school."

Perhaps that sentence is where it all started because with that I nod and get in his car without any questions.
