Mason wipes away the coffee on his chin then puts the coffee cup on the counter. He smiles for one split second but it is replaced with a frown, "why would you like me?"

I shrug. By this point maybe Mason is that limerence I need to have. That odd obsession of wanting his attraction as much as possible so I can forget abut someone else. Not a rebound. I had two years of being single before I went on a single date and almost over three years of not seeing a guy in that way.

I nod to assure of what I want him to think, "look at you Mason. You are my type."

I lean up on the other side of the island and put my feet in between his as he has his spread apart, "you listen when i want to talk. You have a wonderful job. A bright future. You go to college. You are every detail I have liked in a guy. Tall and attractive. You have showed me things I haven't known about myself."

I cross my arms against my chest and he does the same with his, "no I am asking because you are so good. You could like any guy in the world. You're beautiful. You have pride in yourself to not whore around.." he pauses, "to sleep with other guys other than me. You are loyal and kind. Why like me when.."

"When you made it clear we are just here to have sex?"

He shrugs, "I am flattered I guess," he puts his hand on the back of his neck, "can we.." he stutters for a second, "c-can we see how this goes and how we can be?"

I pull him to me and kiss him lightly on the lips.

When I look at him he is pearing back at me and for the first time I begin to tear up. This wasn't suppose to happen with Mason. I wasn't suppose to actually like him. I wasn't suppose to do a lot of things but here we are.

I like him and he likes me.

The door is opened and Greg walks in. He looks like he just got back from a casino as he wears a brand new outfit I haven't seen yet.

Mason has me wrapped up with him and he chuckles, "trying something new, Greg?"

Greg looks from me to Mason then gives an approval face. He sits his bags down and then nods, "yes, The bf got me some stuff from Gucci. Nice to see you again, Mason."

Mason nods and then he kisses my head, "i will get going, yeah?"

We get dressed fully in the room and then he kisses me one more time, "I am really happy.." he laces his fingers with mine.

"I am too," I look up at him and he tucks a hair behind my ear.

When he leaves my room, I sit on the bed with my laptop for a couple of hours. I keep looking at the head shots and the people that are already on the cast. I hover over Luke's name and then look at what he has been in.

Luke was in a movie last year. He wasn't the lead but he was part of the group that had a huge role. I remember seeing him and not putting two and two together. The movie was a thriller based on a book by Aj  Finn.

He played it really well and I am surprised he is only auditioning for an extra.

My heart pounds for what seems t be a minute as I think about why he might be doing this. I get up and open my door and when i do Greg is on the other side.

"I-"

We both say it at the same time and bicker which one should go first. He points to himself and then laughs, "fine I will go first. I am sorry I wasn't supportive of what happened. I am sorry that you went through that and the fact that bastard-"

I hush him and make him fully stop. "I think I know why Elijah Stevenson auditioned for the movie and it wasn't to be just around me."

I didn't know Lukas Greenwold for long but there was always something there that I even noticed. There was something that Elijah always did that made Luke be his best friend. They were both in drama, great actors in different ways of course. But there wasn't any source of jealousy that Elijah got the roll..there was a team formed.
