Today made three weeks of me living here, and living with the Romanz family. Never in a million years did I think that Chase and I would be anymore than classmates. Now we were practically siblings. Well, we’re going to be in the end of September anyway.
This week we got to register for school, and I got to get my class schedule with Sharice and the boys. Sharice and I had three classes together, since I got put in some college prep class, that supposedly only nerds get in. But Chase is in that class with me, so it’s probably just a joke. The twins and me have PE together, which I think is useless since I already took PE in California, but apparently a D doesn’t count, so I gotta take it again if I want to graduate on time. Dumb, I know.
According to Facebook, Zachary and Jessica were “in a relationship and it’s complicated”, so basically they’re on a “break.” Because he needs time to breathe, and she needs time to whore around. Well, that’s what I overheard the boys talking about the other day. Me and Zachary aren’t together, and I don’t know when we will be, but I know we will be. I can already feel it. I felt it when he kissed me the other night after we watched Ted at the movie theater.
“Uh, hello, important stuff here, earth to Chanler,” Chase said, snapping his fingers in front of my face. I sighed irritably before leaning over the table and tried not to zone out again as my mom talked to us older kids about wedding details.
“So you guys know the drill right? I’m telling you now, and I’ll tell you next week, and the day after next week’s next week, there will be absolutely no girls sleeping in this house, absolutely no friends over, and absolutely, without a doubt,” Randon said, getting more and more dramatic as he went on and on.
“No parties, or else,” the boys said simultaneously, rolling their eyes.
“That goes for you too young lady, Zachary or none of your other exes or future exes or future boyfriends, whatever the case may be, you will not have anyone in that bed of yours except for Shauna,” my mom said sternly.
“Alright mom,” I said.
“She probably won’t even be talking to Zachary when that time comes,” Chase interrupted.
“Shut up Chase, mind your own business,” I snapped and hit the side of his leg from under the table.
“Chanler, calm yourself,” my mom said next to me. I sighed, glaring at Chase and then turned back to her. “Anyway, we’re taking family portraits this weekend, so clear your schedule,” she continued.
“I-” I began, before she cut me off.
“Don’t care, cancel,” she said and tapped her hand on the table as a gesture in ‘this conversation is over.”
“I was going to say ‘I don’t even have plans’ mom,” I snapped.
“Okay. You guys can go now,” she said and motioned for us to get up and leave.
“Irritating,” I mumbled before walking back outside, where all of our friends were. We had a somewhat small get together, with more of our friends, some of the football players, some of the guys on the soccer team, people like that. I remembered most of them, and never did I ever think they’d turn out to be some of the most popular kids in school. No offense, I’m just saying. Like Brandon and Bradley, for instance. Brandon was a senior, Bradley was a junior, and they’re brothers. Both on the football team. Get honorable recognition every year since they started in their freshmen year. In eighth grade, Brandon was a little pot head that had the munchies everyday, and had an average body with an average face. Now he had a beautiful body, but the same average face. Sports and puberty really did these guys good.
