I stir uncomfortably as I feel Sunlight hit my face. I tiredly open my eyes to glare at the shadows the sun was making. Wait a sec... the sun is too low to be evening, well fuck, I slept all day yesterday. The worst part about that fact is I hadn't ate yesterday. I feel like I'm starving, and my stomach growls to let me know I need food. Turning into my form I sit up and stretch my arms over my head. Letting out a small satisfied hum. I crawl out of my hollow tree and head for an abandoned orchard. I sit by a tree that is as tall as me, while sitting at least. I observe the tree. It's pear tree. My stomach growls again, so I pluck all the fruits off the tree and put them in my mouth. The pears taste sour and sweet at the same time. I give a happy hum.

About half an hour and five trees later, I'm lying down in the grass with a full belly. I could take a nap right about now, but i slept the day away yesterday. Heheh, meeting Rayn must've wore me out. Oh! I've forgotten about Rayn! I wonder if she'll actually be there. Only one way to find out. I get up from the cool grass and start for the edge of the woods, where me and Rayn parted ways yesterday.

It takes me about ten minutes before I get there, and when I do my heart drops. I can tell it's about noon and Rayns nowhere in sight. It was too good to be true! I could never have a friend, all I am is a MONSTER! I feel tears start to form in my eyes and I hastily scrub them away. Why am I crying? I should have never gotten my hopes up in the first place...I can see now she only wanted an escape from me. " W-wolfy? A-are you o-okay?" I spin around as I hear a voice. It is Rayn! " R-rayn, You came back! You didn't lie to me..." I bubbled happily.

She gives me her timid smile and nervously chuckles. Then she frowns up at me and says, " Why would I lie to you?" I get down on my stomach and put my face near her. She gives a frightened squeak at my movements but stays still. I see she has a small basket in her hands. Its smells funny to me. " You had every reason to lie to me, mainly fear." She makes an 'O' shape with her mouth then takes a few steps back from my face. She sits down, and I notice she is wearing a light red dress. Her dress however doesn't distract me long from the funny smelling basket. I glare at the basket, how dare it hold secrets from me. Rayn sees me glare at the basket, and sets it in front of her. " Do you want to see what's inside? Since you can probably smell it" I instantly nod my head yes.

She takes out a thing I never seen before. It's brown with small slivers of white and has blueberries on the top. The thing smells super sweet. I don't like how sweet it smells. Still not knowing what the thing is I ask Rayn, " What is it?" Her eyes go wide. She looks down a the thing then up at me. She then takes a small blade and cuts a tiny bit of it off, she then put that tiny bit on a platter. Finally answering my question Rayn says, " It's a cake, a C-chocolate cake" I furrow my brow in confusion. " What the hell is it for? The thing smells funny!" My tiny friend covers her mouth as she bursts out in giggles. This causes my brow to further furrow. After five minutes of Rayn's uncontrollable giggles she says, " Cakes are for eating wolfy!" I narrow my eyes at her in a disbelieving way. She nervously takes a bit of the tiny piece she cut off earlier, like she was proving it safe to eat. She pushed the big piece towards me and looks at me expectantly. I puff out my cheeks and look at her just to make sure it was ok. She nods at me so I slowly sit up. I slowly grab the thing, erm, the cake and pop it into my mouth. Oh. My. Lord. As soon as it hit my tongue I loved it. I don't know how to describe it but it was sweet, not as sweet as it smelled though. I chew it slowly. I close my eyes in pure bliss. Did I die? I don't feel dead, but this feels like pure joy! I swallow the cake and let out a happy sigh.

Rayn giggles again. " Did you like it? I made it myself!" Pride filled her words. I nod egarly and practically purr, " That was the best thing I've ever had in my life" I lay back down, this time on my side. A awkward silence comes over us. I start to fiddle with my bracelet while she fiddles with her hands. I want to break this dreadful silence. " So, um, Rayn-" She looks up at me " - what's your favorite color?"

She has a slight hint of shock on her face. " All the colors are my favorite, except black, I don't like black. Yours?" I never really thought of what my favorite color was, I guess it would be gold, the color of the sun. So I say, " the color of the sun is my favorite color." We end asking random question about each other until it gets dark and she heads to her village. Besides Rayn's favorite colors, I learned a lot about her. Rayn likes cats, dogs, rabbits, She likes flowers, and she likes to garden. I also learned that her favorite season is winter. Rayn also learned a bit about me. She learned that I Like deer, wolves, Trees, and swimming. When I told her I dislike winter and prefered summer She frowned, She didn't ask why though. The reason I don't like winter is because I get sick often in that season. With a happy sigh I go to where the orchard is and eat till I'm full. After my dinner I go back to my tree, curl into the fetal position, and fall into a peaceful slumber.
