I was in my wolf form hopping to the lake. I felt something squeeze my ear in a panic so I slowly start to walk. " D-don't go s-so fast, p-please..." The tiny person death gripped my ear said. I frown, it is hot out and I want to get to the lake. I gently shake head no. Halfway crouching down I spring into a run. Rayn squeaks out of fright. We get to the lake in less than four minutes.

I slow down, start to trot, turn into my human form, pluck Rayn from my head, and sit her on the ground. She stares up at me with wide eyes, "why?" she whined. I just point to the cool looking lake. " It's hot out...I wanna go swimming!" I lay down on my stomach and belly crawl into the cold water. I let out a sigh, the water feels good on my skin.

I look around for my small buddy, she just disappeared. "Rayn?-" I Question. " where'd you go?" Rayn pops out from behind a tree with a one piece swimsuit on. It was pink with flowers. " I didn't want to get my clothes wet, so I changed." I nod my head ok. Rayn suddenly starts to run. She jumps into the lake with a splash. While Rayn is getting her bearings in the water, I shift onto my back so I can relax. Rayn does the doggie paddle and I laugh. She glares at me and I stop. "Buddy don't you know how to swim?" I question her. She shakes her head no sheepishly. Smirking I lift my arms over my head and do the swimming motion. " You do it Like this." I remark. She tries to swim properly, but she starts to sink. She doggie paddles to my chest and sits down. Since she's sitting on my chest the water only goes up to her stomach.

" Can you swim?" Rayn asks me with a hint of anger in her voice. Laughing I answer her saying, " Why yes I can" A little bit shaken from my laughing, snaps at me. " Prove. It."

Tilting my head to the side I scoop her off my chest and put her on dry ground. Once Rayn is safely on the ground, I stand up and leap into the depths of the lake. I go under the water and stay there for a few moments basking in the water's coolness. Then I swim to the surface. When I do surface I see my little buddy frowning at me with her arms crossed. " Stop being a show off you you you wolf!" I snort at her remark and swim back to shallows of the lake.

" D'awwwwww are you mad mad lil' buddy?" I ask her mockingly. She looks away in slight anger. Chuckling I get out of the lake. " Wolf? Nope I is a werewolf Buddy." I say. I lay down on my stomach in a sun patch. I hum contently at the warmth. Rayn crawls over to my face and sits down, frowning. I hear her mumble " Still a wolf", so I smile brightly at her.

" I'm going home" Rayn growls while standing up. I whine. "Why?" I try to give her puppy dog eyes, but I'm pretty sure I failed. Rayn sighed and said flatly. " I'm hungry, so I am going home." I felt a wave of relief wash over me, good I didn't insult her. Sitting up I tell her, " I know where an old abandoned orchard is! I'll take you there if you wish."

She shuffles her feet uncertainty. She seemed to be weighing her choices. I hope she doesn't go home. She finally nods head her yes. I smile a bright smile. I offer my hand palm up to her. S he glares at my hand before climbing on it. I stand happily. I walk slowly to the orchid. We soon get there. I sit down near a plum tree, and let Rayn climb out of my hand. She walks around in amazement. " T-there must be at least five-hundred trees here!" she exclaimed. She climbs an orange tree, picks a ripe orange, peels it, and eats it. " Oh! This orange Tastes so sweet!" She says with happiness laced in her voice. She finishes her orange and picks another one out with a small hum of enjoyment. "Glad you like them lil' bud" She glares at me with annoyance in her eyes. She swallows the bit of food in her mouth and practically growls, " Stop calling me quote on quote lil' , I. Am. Normal.Sized." I look her up and down. I know I'm a giant...but I wanna mess with her. " You are extremely small, tiny even! I also like your new nickname." I remarked giving her a small wink. She went red in the face. We stayed in the orchard for about two hours, then we went home. She told me she had a great day,so we both went home happy.I was very happy. I learned that Rayn loved oranges. She Almost seemed distraught when she learned I didn't like them. She understood when I explained why though. I sigh as I get to my tree. I watch as the sun sets. It was a beautiful sunset. It had red, orange, yellow, pink, and even purple in it. The sun went completely down and I sigh. Today was very very very good day. I got to spend the whole day with my lil' buddy. Swimming and spending time in the warm orchard.I repeat to myself, " Today was a good day."   Laying down I look up at the stars and the moon in pure bliss.
