" I feel the fever and I won't lie
I break a sweat
My body's telling
All the secrets I ain't told you yet."Yami Yami had always been their (Sabrina, Alex and Prue) favorite restaurant in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It was popular among the students of West lake high school for its irresistible sushi and the spicy sea food that came through with better deals at discounted prices every weekend. It was an affluent restaurant but it's pricey standard made it more appealing to the students who were always ready to show off their wealth as it gave them a sense of belonging amongst each other.
The girls were hardly interested in the status draw that was attached to frequently visiting Yami Yami, for them the place held several memories on which their friendship had been built on over the years. Sabrina had gotten her first job here as well, and this had usually earned her and her friends free meals during the weekends and takeaways that Sabrina was entitled to as a staff during the week. The owner of the restaurant was very fond of each one of them because they had been visiting the restaurant along side their parents and siblings from a very tender age. She had offered Prue and Alex job openings as well, over and over but they had preferred to work at a salon instead owing to their interest in hair styling.
The weekend had drawn the week to an end and the girls had agreed to meet at noon at their favourite hang out. As usual, Sabrina was there earlier than the others to complete her morning shift before she would be free for the afternoon and spend it with her girlfriends, who had come to occupy most of the happenings in her life, cloud her thoughts, and guide her misdoings over the years.
She had drinks sent to their usual table at the left farthest end of the restaurant which let them see what was happening both outside and inside of the restaurant. Once she sighted Alex and Prue come out of Prue's ride in the car park and begin to make their way towards the entrance, she glanced at the wall clock and seeing that it was past noon and she had completed her shift, she hurriedly dusted her hands against her apron and removed it while also making her way to their table.
"hey girlllllllll" Prue's ever spirited tone made Sabrina grin widely as they took their seats.
" I am starving, alright? " Alex groaned after taking a long satisfactory sip of her drink.
" Already placed our regular order, it'll be here in five minutes. Wanted to make sure it'd be simmering hot" Sabrina smirked at how her friends' mouths watered.
" Well, while we're waiting, I have good news and bad news. " Prue pulled out her phone
" Bad news " Both Sabrina and Alex chorused.
" I don't know how I'm s'pposed to reply Derek's message" she blushed furiously.
"The Derek? " Alex said making air quotations.
"Mhmm hmmm" Prue replied still blushing hopelessly.
Her reply was followed by loud girly squeals from all three girls that lasted longer than normal. Their grins after the fan girling led to another round of squeals and laughter.
" I cannot! " Sabrina yelled and they squealed in delight once again.
"Whennnnnn? " Alex asked, delight masking her features.
" Last night, at precisely 10:47 pm. "
" Look here " Prue said scrolling through her Instagram Dms from the night before till she found Derek's message." Loved the hairdo on your last post. Wanna style my hair sometime? " Alex read the text and made a similar face as the smirk emoji that ended it.
