Pray - Sam Smith
"I'm broken, alone, and afraid I'm not a saint, I'm more of a sinner I don't wanna lose, but I fear for the winners When I try to explain, the words run away"This Friday evening was as blissful as every other Friday evening that the Jones family had spent together in this manner. They sat close to the fireplace with their hand-knitted sweaters (obviously made by Mrs Jones) and a mug of hot chocolate in each person's hands. Mrs Jones had her long brunette hair pulled back to reveal her glowing beautiful oval shaped face and to bring out her dark cerulean eyes that shone in the dark.
They had played several games and had laughed so hard that Brianna almost spilled her hot chocolate on the marble floor. Truth and dare was the only game they played nervously because the girls didn't appreciate their parents using it as a way to peer into their privacy, but the game had it's rules and their Father always came up with humiliating options for whoever seemed to be telling a lie or refused to give in to a dare.
Well, today wasn't any different as Sabrina was having hard time answering her mother's question after she'd chosen truth." If you keep stammering, I'll pass the baton to your Dad and you know how that turns out" her mother smirked playfully and batted her lashes.
" Can we not do this any more? That's very personal mum" Sabrina groaned
"Rules are rules big sister " Brittany says with her head swaying from side to side.
" hey, keep quiet or something " Sabrina snapped and Brittany rose her hands in defeat.
" Well, what's it gonna be" mischief glinted in her mother's eyes.
"fine, fine. I'll talk. "
"Want me to repeat the question or-"
" No, I got it " she glared at her mom what was having way too much fun tormenting her.
" Ryan Summer, Third grade " She rushed her words and hid her face behind her mug, which didn't do her any good.
" Oh my Goodness. You said you hated him and he was to proper" Her mother laughed and so did the others making Sabrina's blush grow deeper and appear rosier.
" She said his hair was too perfect and that was obnoxious, You're a serpent Rina. You actually made me believe that he was never gonna stand a chance with you " her mother said, her hand over her mouth to show her disbelief.
" I just didn't want you guys to start acting all mushy about it" Sabrina confessed and sighed.
" well? How was it? " her father who she thought was not listening suddenly asked.
" You can't make me go over the details, eww to each one of you and shame on you pops" she laughed at their curious faces while she denied them the juicy details.
"what? " her father laughed. "I'm surrounded by girls, dont blame me."
"Okay people, that's enough for tonight " their mother's serious tone surfaced
"But mom, it's just few minutes past ten" Brittany pouted while the others got up.
" up with you, woman" her mother ignored her protests
"sheesh" she exclaimed and got up as well.
" I'll do the dishes. Or the mugs rather " their mother chuckled " you can go to your rooms everyone "
