Dusk till Dawn -Zayn ft Sia
"But you'll never be alone
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn. . ."

911.
"Pick up the damn phone and dial 911!" she spoke with gritted teeth to her younger sister whose face had paled from the sight before her.

" Brittany, Jesus! Don't just stand there " She screamed but was sure her sister couldn't hear any of what she was saying, it was pointless to push any further after she'd seen the same shock that was now evident on Brittany's features drain all the energy from Briana who fell unconscious some minutes earlier.

She finally rose to her feet with difficulty and managed to lay her mother's half dead limp body on the floor, with the evidence of her drawing demise clear from the presence of the hard drugs and syringes that lay on the bed Sabrina had Just risen from. Walking over her sister's limp body, she grabbed the phone from the dusty study desk and placed an emergency call through.

" It's an incident of overdose." she could hear herself creak.
" Doesn't matter, we've almost lost her "
" 338, East Garfield street. "

She slammed the phone on the receiver after the call, and took deep breaths that had done no use to calm her. She rolled her eyes and blinked back the tears that had settled on the brink of her eyes and sniffed, more for relief than oxygen. Turning over, she noticed that Brittany had curled over at a corner in the room with her knees to her chest. She swung back and forth to rhythm unknown to Sabrina.

" Love is strength, to those you love, you owe your strength." Sabrina repeated the words her mother would say to her while she fought back the tears that threatened to pour from the pathetic scene before her.

Her mother was almost dead from an overdose on the bed, her twin younger sisters were in disheartening states; one mute, and the other unconscious with the palest skins. Her mother had never shown signs of being an addict, she had never condoned drinking or smoking, she was a virtuous and loving woman who smiled all morning by her garden and all day as well by her family. She was beautiful and the rock of their home but Sabrina seeing her mother this way, realised how miserably thin her mother appeared. There was no logical explanation as to why they had found their mother convulsing at first before she fell unconscious, Sabrina thought bitterly. She felt like she had forgotten to breathe because of the burden that rested in the pit of her stomach, her mouth felt dry and her head was on a maze race trying to put the pieces of this puzzle together.

The Emergency van and Team had arrived less than ten minutes later but it felt like eternity to Her. They came in and lifted her mother's limp body unto the bed in the back seat of the van and did same for Brianna's whose was unconscious. Through all this, Sabrina managed to answer a few questions about her guidance and was lucky to have scaled through them without crying. Brittany had to be assisted to her feet and while walking to the van by Sabrina , before she got into the Van she stared intently at the house they were living behind, and unknown to her, that was the last time she would see this haven.

The waiting room felt suffocating while she waited for news about her mother and sister. She dialed her father's number second after second but it kept on going to voice mail, she bitterly cursed the day she had this man as her father and swore that she would let him have it when next she saw him. Brittany who had still been mute till this moment fell asleep , something Sabrina was sure she would be incapable of if she lost her mother or/ and her sister.

Thirty minutes later, she was a furious mess. Walking up and down the counter being the only ones left in the waiting room. She kept calling her father, leaving him a million voice mails and each time she would choke on a few words, curse him out and spit vulgar threats.
