A slight sweet smile

LIAM POV:

Yes, donuts!

Niall is going to love me.  I point the driver to turn into the parking lot.  I hop out.  "Are you sure you don't want me to go in Mr. Payne?"  My driver leans over.

"No thank you.  I got this."  I say politely.  I close the car door.

I pass the window of Dunkin Donuts.  A girl about my age is sitting at the counter.  Probably a fan.  I push my sunglasses further up my face.  The girl looks up and straight at me.  A slight smile comes on her face, probably because I was staring at her.  I give her a sweet smile back.  Great, as soon as I walk in she will ask for a picture and whatever else she can think of.

There are these 2 blokes working on the door apparently.  I walk into the place and expect her to jump out of her seat.  I hear the classic tune blasting from the radio.  What Makes You Beautiful, the craze of America right now.  Out of the corner of my eye I can see the girl just sipping her ice coffee.  Hmm.

I get in line and inspect the menu.  Crap, I can't see with my sunglasses on.  I slide them on to the top of my head.  Please, no one recognize me.  Today has just not been a good day.  I had to wake up too early and now I'm just craving food.

I think tea and a donut would hold me over.  I get up to the woman at the counter.  Before I speak I remember to cover my accent.  "Medium ice tea and a chocolate glazed donut please."  The lady walks over and grabs a donut, then yells to some lad about the ice tea.

"7.50."  I give her my debit card.  After that process, I slide over so the next person can order.  The lady hands me a bag and another lad comes over to give me the ice tea.  I turn around.  I really don't want to go back in the car, and plus I need to get Niall something before I leave.  Probably should text him for what he wants, and the rest of the lads.

The only seats are next to that girl.  There actually are 3 seats open, but they are right next to the door.  And I honestly don't want one of those blokes to fall on me because I don't think they really know what they are doing.  They have a ladder, a thing that makes a lot of noise, and some weird looking parts.

I take a seat one away from her and slide my glasses back down over my eyes.  The chairs are high like most bar seats.  I drink my tea and take a bite of my donut.  I love chocolate in the morning, even though this is probably the worst nutritional breakfast I've had in the past week.

Our song is still playing.  Then I notice the girl is tapping her foot on the leg of her chair.  So she is a fan... but hasn't recognized me apparently.  Ok then.  She has on what looks like athletic clothing.  Black shorts and a purple Adias shirt.  She also has a pretty bad futbol tan from shin guards.

Harry's solo comes on, and she stops tapping her foot.  I steal a glance at her.  Her eyes are closed as is she was savoring his voice... Defiantly a fan.

Something else catches my eye.  There is a Dunkin Donuts' bag in front of the seat next to her.  Is she here with someone?  Or did she eat all that.  I see a napkin in front of her.

I take my eyes off the bag and napkin, and meet her eyes.  Crap she caught me staring.  She has a cute smile on her slightly blushed face.  I look away quickly.  That was so embarrassing.

I take another bite of my donut.  Text Niall.  Right, I almost forgot.

To Niall, What do you want from Dunkin Donuts? Ask the lads too.

I look out of the corner of my eye again.  She is just staring out the window drinking her ice coffee.  Then she looks over at the door.  Those people are still working on it.  I follow her glance.  Right as I make eye contact with the tool he is using, a loud racket goes off.
